>>10664816This just seems like such a convoluted and twisted way to get this story in place. Like a lot of the most interesting aspects of the story are just "This happened a long time ago" and the point we're at now seems like the most boring point of the storyline.
Should've just kept it at a simple ship of colonizers got lost in space, found planet full of dragons, genetically revived dinosaurs to help them survive new planet. Don't need the "mysteriously lost contact with earth" bit or the "different human clans" or even "dragon's don't like terraforming". A bunch of squishy pink insects invaded their home, Dragon don't need no more reason then that to squish you.
A simpler story would've sold the entire theme a way better then the "And then this happened!" type of lore they built.
>>10664934I agree not having lower price-point sets is a huge missed opportunity for this line. With the Dinos, you have their innate popularity to sell the figures. With these guys, you have a whole new lore you're trying to push, so offering cheaper options people can try out without a huge investment would've been a great way to get more people interested.
Like, release a smaller dragon type to use as a basic bad guy grunt monster. Or release some armor sets designed for the Ceratopsia that he put out previously. Since the armor turn into vehicles, people could just buy the armor on it's own, and if they already owned the Ceratopsia then it'd be a bonus to make it into armor.
With so few options, it's hard to justify giving this line a "try". It's either a huge investment or you don't really get to experience the full capabilities of the line.
