You send Santa anon a pic of your mail with your address on it to prove you live where you live.
He checks against past grinches, he pairs Santas with santaees and you get given information on what they person wants... you spend 35 or more on your santaee and you send proof you did so. Then you wait for your santaee to prove they bought gifts to santa anon then you get the go ahead to send to your santee. Our Santa will get the go ahead to send yo you when you prove you've bought gifts, the person you send to and the person you get from is not the same person.
Then some people open their gifts right away and post them on the thread, some people wait until Xmas. It's always appreciate to thank your Santa in thread and by showing off what you got.
