All I fucking want is one 6 inch spawn, and 1 McFarlane 7 inch optimus. I don't care about page punchers that are 3 inch.

Looking into it, Page Punchers is the "comes with a comic" line. Figures are either 3" scale 2 packs, or 7" scale solo.

Prototypes usually look great. Packaging is always top tier. It is when you get the figure out of the box and in your hand you find out how bad the figures are. Weird proportions and mismatching waists and torsos. bizarre cheaply made accessories. Probably why there is so much packaging around it.

I don't think this is that strange OP. Hasbro has said a few years ago that they'd be licensing out their brands more often. Makes sense from their end. Allow the other companies to do the majority of the work, and Hasbro still reaps royalties from the product while the new product spreads brand awareness and if there's low sales, the manufacturer, not Hasbro, takes the hit.

They've licensed out Power Rangers and Gi Joe to Hiya Toys, ThreeZero, Super 7, Diamond Select, Jada Toys, etc.

A 6" Legends Spawn and 7" Multiverse Optimus seem unlikely though. There's likely non-compete clauses in contracts for all brands where it would be a legal mess to re-write things and make exceptions for another competitor's IP's to appear in those lines like that.

It's interesting to see how it's working out, I saw some boutique tf boots last night for example. I thought it'd be just dollar tree crap.

This was a variation on what I thought Hasbro was pulling with this. Basically since the 3 inch page puncher figures look really bad, Hasbro guys could have noticed that, and then licensed their brands out to McFarlane for this 3 inch scale. These 3 inch figures will be made and look awful as usual, making McFarlane look bad to Hasbro's audience. Why McFarlane would agree to this, I don't know. I can't imagine adults are buying the 3 inch figures and given the IPs and subject matter I can't imagine kids are either. Not sure who they are for.

Its more likely Hasbro sold him the 3 inch license for a year for super cheap, or the new comic run went to McFarlane. Todd has random but powerful connections.

People forget that McFarlane was first to market with fortnite, implying he has connections as far as china.

Spawn is 6'11 in the comics so any currently released 7 inch Spawn is already in scale with 6 inch.

I own every figure of the new spawn line with a few exceptions. I like mcfarlane. I don't want to replace the entire line. All I want is 1 Hasbro spawn and most people want that too.

After that I want a spawn mafex/sh figuarts, but Todd hates the Japanese.
