>>10671124You're kinda wrong about a couple of those points.
Firstly, I'm pretty sure the designers outright confirmed that Cosmos was gonna get rereleased. And anyway even if we haven't had an official announcement of when, like, it takes a long time to produce toys man. We still haven't had an official release date for Buzzworthy Hound or that TF4/5 creature, despite their renders having leaked god-knows how long ago again?
Secondly, I really appreciate the lineup of Legacy and even Toxitron. Personally I've only bought the Armada, Galaxy Force, G1 toon/Marvel/IDW, and occasional Beast Wars guys, but I'm glad the others exist because they're something new. Maybe the G2 repaints and the Junkions aren't my thing, but they're all great toys that lots of people both here and elsewhere really like.
Using next year as an example, I don't think the Animated and Cyberverse toys are worthy upgrades, and I think Thundertron is neat but not for me; but, I'm VERY excited for the new JP Beast Wars, Super Link, Car Robots, and Rescue Bots characters announced/expected.
Really, the line I'm ACTUALLY disappointed in is Studio Series. It seems it's just gonna be an advertising tool for ReActivate and the new animated movie, neither of which I'm excited for. Meanwhile, though 86 has been fine I guess, fucking Gamer Edition sucks so far, and they're completely ignoring the Bay films, in which there are still just barely a handful of characters left to do, and all the toys of the first film are so old and honestly crummy that they're looong overdue for remakes.
R.E.D. is a huge missed oppurtinity too, yeah. They could've gotten cute and done some modern Action Masters (hey, if they're willing to do G2 repaints as exclusives, why not?), or otherwise just, anything other than 2 toys a year. Bleh.
