>>10672747In 2020, Call of Duty, game of thrones, Borderlands, Elder Scrolls 5, Doom, and Five Nights at Freddys were all dropped.
In 2021 Fortnite and Cyberpunk were dropped
In 2022 WH40k, Mortal Kombat and Avatar
What are they dropping in 2023? Just the other Avatar?
Did you think they were in trouble in 2020, because they ditched a shit ton of licenses? Should be noted that ES5 and Doom (plus Fallout) was likely just an issue with MS buying out Bethesda, so who knows what sales were like for those.
And that's what really matters here: sales. McFarlane was able to re-enter the childrens toy aisles with the DC license, so they're taking in a shit load of money again. The last time they had a mass market line was in 2016 with Five Nights at Freddys, which was their highest grossing line ever, but it lost steam by 2020. Yet, with all that money they made from FNaF, they were able to buy the children's action figure license for DC and it's McFarlane's highest grossing line ever now.
As long as the DC line is selling, there should be no problem for them.
Every other license but FNAF i mentioned were all collector/direct market licenses. So they were selling around 50k units per wave vs 200k-1million they're doing with DC. So they can afford to lose those licenses, because they're peanuts. These sorts of licenses are also peanuts to buy too, hence a lot of collector companies being able to do one and done deals without going out of business.
The only other mass market license they have are the Disney game mcstatues, but are they actually losing that license?
>Page Punchers 3" Seems to be pretty important for McFarlane right now. At Toy Fair Todd calls them children toys, so that's another mass market line.
