>>10696855I understand where you're coming from but its not like a bunch of other 40 year old franchises havent gotten kid's merch recently. It wasnt that long ago that Lanard was putting out their Alien and Predator figures and brands like MOTU, Turtles, Transformers, and Batman still regularly occupy the toy aisle. With Lanard I had some hope of it maybe happening but then their Predator line underperformed and threw a wrench into the gears. I still think there's a market for a Robocop line like that frankly. But the companies around now (understandably) dont want to take the risk.
>The only way you will see toys that are not high end action figures targeted towards boomers is if Disney or Netflix makes a animated seriesthe sad thing is that something like that is probably already in the works, except it's not disney or netflix incharge, its amazon. amazon bought out MGM a few years back and for awhile now there's been talks of all kinds of shitty robocop projects swirling around. More than likely, the success of both the character's inclusion in Mortal Kombat and the hype surrounding Delta City both proved to the dickweeds at amazon that theres money to be made. I hope nothing ever manifests but I mean, its amazon, its happening sooner or later.
