I dont hold anything, but i do keep certain exclusives and figures in the box. Mainly due to lack of shelf space but also id like to trade some at some point.

I would guess I open about 80%. Stuff I keep boxed is usually a duplicate or not worth opening.

It’s sad that some people get bent out of shape by other people keeping their toys boxed. The collectors that I think are doing it wrong are the revolving doors. Do you really like any of your toys if nothing stays in your collection for more than a year? Seems like they’re following fads or getting high off the act of buying more than anything.

For some reason, a lot of figmas and SHFs are only like 20 or 40$ in difference between used and sealed in box so I just buy the new ones, but then the box looks nice so I just kind of keep it sealed. Also if I paid over 200$ for something I kind of dont want to open it
