I don't think it did, or if it did there doesn't seem to be solid consensus. I don't think the new one will though, since that's kind of taking away a feature from the Remco.

But who knows. I love that they went with a new more generic Drac headsculpt, so I won't feel bad if it doesn't glow.

In films, no. But there are 2 different projects announced that Miller has already been tagged as a producer on. The character of the adult Jason Voorhees should still be usable by Cunningham and WB without issue, it's only if they reference Crystal Lake, Pamela, or Jason as a mongoloid child that should require his input but it sounds like he's finally willing to play ball now that he has his money.

Because Ghost Face doesn't necessarily have to be based on Scream movies, Fun World (who owns the mask and costume) is probably way cheaper and easier to work with.

Yeah they're ramping up the Saw stuff actually. The large scale Billy on Trike just got a re-release (one of my Targets actually has one), they've got that deluxe Toony Terror set coming out, and they do have that Ultimate that was teased and should still be coming.

Thailog is the only one that I've seen pegwarm, everything else has sold really well. I've seen Brooklyn and Broadway appear at Walmarts and those have sold through. My Targets around me have gotten in Xanatos, Elisa, Steel Clan, armored Xanatos, Broad, Brook, Angela, Lexington, etc, and they've all been moving. I think the only thing Target has now is a Hudson and Demona.

Years back, NECA said they passed on doing the human characters of Left 4 Dead 2 becsuse they said regular humans in normal attire wouldnt sell.

King Kong is NOT a kaiju. KAIJU is specific to japanese giant monster movies and not American made giant monsters.
Its similar to Anime in that a cartoon from japan is an Anime and not a "japanese cartoon" and a cartoon from the west, even if it tried emulating the anime style, is not an anime, it is a cartoon.

Kaiju is the genre, a genre coined in japan. Kaiju is specific to region.
Its nothing like the translation of gato and cat. If translation is all that matters then every monster movie ever created in any region outside of japan, is a kaiju film. Which is a fucking stupid thing to argue.

Maybe kaiju and anime arent just where they are developed, but also who, for a thing to be kaiju or anime, it must but majority japanese staff, including directors, writers, etc.
Since GI Joe was crafted by Americans it escapes the anime title, because its American created and distributed with japanese animation studio's help.

Kaiju is a genre in Japan. The monsters in that genre have specifc standards that need to be met in order to be in that genre. There is a height requirement for the monster, and irl it matters who the creative team is, in order for the movie to be a kaiju film.

I also found a tip for anyone trying to do repairwork: you know when you drill a hole in both sides of a broken plastic peg, and you want to insert a metal rod down the middle for strength, but where get? nails meant for a nail gun, apparently. they just snap into nice little metal rods pieces of desires length by bending sharply with pliers.
Not that I think that has salvaged this wing, the superglue has surely seized up the rotation joint, but let's be real I was never going to put the spread wings back on him.

Yes, and those hinges don't stay open. They also have to be flat in sculpt, which doesn't look very good. It's the same with the ML/Gothitropolis bird wings. They're also too heavy. It also increases the cost of the figure. It's a flawed setup.

And that cloth and plastic collapsible wing setup is terrible and does not last over time. It's a fun gimmick for a cheap toy, not for a collectible.

eh.... these particular designs, it wouldn't work. The point where the hinge would need to go, it would ruin it. plus it would be too heavy.
however, you have postedt he wing pose they should have gone with, more or less. arms held up, fingers gradually pointing downward.
cloth would definitely not look good, and be very hard to convincingly attach, plus then the 'hand' would be a complete mess. This was probably a good opportunity to invest in some new engineering tech to solve the gargoyle wing problem, but they didn't. they just chose a "Wings lifted in intimidation" pose which really doesn't work for gliding or anything else, and attached them to the back via armpit joints that, unfortunately, change orientation as you lift or lower the wings, meaning you cannot make them pulled back and still look natural at all. they have a few degrees of even halfway good looking posing, AND they're quite fragile. but they're lightweight, that much they nailed.

There's a guy named Micah Gill in a Gargoyles group who's working on a nice looking set of third party wings for Goliath. He's working out how to do the pin since it's been too fragile in test runs and is considering a ball joint system. He says that he hopes to do them for the entire line-up once he works out the kinks and offer them for sale.

Because NECA often uses single shot screengrabs as reference points instead of how characters looked 90% of the time on screen. And also they know Gargle fans want all the wing options so they spread them out to other figures so you buy them all. What I'm pissed at is the Goliath Demona 2 pack coming out that's going to have the cloaked wings instead of the neutral ones like this >>10709809. We got those wings already with Bronx and Xanatos. They've also talked about Gargoles accessory packs during comic con interview with Pixel Dan. So more wings might be in the works.

I got my non-broken Lex. I expected his posability to be limited, but it's actually surprising me both pro and con. kinda hard to get his arms to look natural, and the pressure of the wing is making his elbow bend unnaturally which worries me, just like one of my Elisa's knees, it feels like if I just let that go, it's going to break or pop off the peg. They also amusingly gave him a trigger hand for... a medieval crossbow, which doesn't have a grip, just a stock and a lever that you use to fire.

Look at the Gargoyles line as a whole. Look at how many unique sculpts there actually are, and that are coming out still. If the character requires it, they go all out with a new sculpt. An extra finger on a robot is not the same.

You're not taking into account factory tooling and times and release dates. All they had to do was change paint decos and an accessory for Xanatos and that allowed them to produce these figures at the same time at the factories it seems. There's more than just "oh it's easier/harder" when it comes to producing a toy.

Ok so rereleasimg the gargoyles figures with the action gimmicks the original toys had may just be the thing that pushes me over the edge to get them. I have Goliath and he's nice but I just dont have a place to display the whole crew. But I had the original figures as a kid and they were some of my favorite toys. The only new molds they would need would be a retooling of Luca for Donkey and Winter, and a separate mold for Bad Ape. You know, reading this thread makes me realize that NECA is not a very transparent company. Randy would answer questions on Twitter a year or two ago and then completely stopped. It was mostly people bitching about "where's the Wolf Predator??" and they'd say "Soon!" but offered little reason for why.
