>>10696993I honestly expected the BK and Remco variants. Both are beloved by collectors, especially monster collectors, for a reason. Homaging them both was a no brainer. But the imperial figures are more of a toss up. They're nowhere as beloved in my opinion. But I do think they would make for solid repaint material down the road.
>Scooby DooIve noticed over the last decade we've hit this slump where the only scooby foes that get any toys anymore are the ones from the original 13 episodes (with major exceptions like the funland robot and a few others for whatever reason). Even the new Scooby Tiny Mights stuck to that same menagerie. And I get it, they're iconic, but so are plenty of other scooby rogues.
If I had control of the reigns, I'd come up with a Scooby line inspired by Playmates' recent string of success with their modern TMNT2012 and onward style of figure, vehicles, and playset. Every character would feature 10 to 12 POA and simple paint jobs. The baddies could be a little bit more limited, maybe not to the extremes of Playmates' handling of their villains, but maybe 8 to 10 POA instead. I think Spinmasters could handle scooby well too but I dont know if they'll bite.
>but if someone made a toyline of the second live action movies monsters I'd be all over it, even if it was only 3 or 4 figures I'd be happy. That movie is a total guilty pleasure of mine, and I legitimately think its versions of the 10,000 Volt/Black Knight/Pterodactyl ghosts were coolI'd be all over a line like that. I mentioned as much in the last thread! Its crazy how little merch Monsters Unleashed got with how great their monster designs were. A huge shame really.
