>>10700212>Power RangersI never liked this franchise, even though I had fun during PR-mania when it started, I just grew tired of it because how formulaic it was. Anyway FF to Hasbro's acquisition, Power Ranger toys are STILL a recolors toyline. I was more a fan of their Zords, but I expected we'd get toys of Transformers quality. But despite Hasbro's connections, it still hasn't been concepted. But when they started making good monster toys (something not even Bandai ever did since the beginning), that's when I started following. I didn't like all but 2 of the monsters, but it's still about time and I wish there was a bigger focus.
>Overwatch/FortniteOverwatch was supposed to be a no-brainer success with that vast roster of diverse character design, but it just wasn't for some reason. I would think that a few of its fans would buy some for display, but it's clear that Gamestop just wanted the toys off the shelves as quickly as they existed. Then I actually played with the toys and noticed how gummy they were, and lacked good ankle rockers. Didn't help that some figmas existed as well despite their own shelfwarming.
The Fortnite toys are a much better product. They're about the same quality as Jazwares' but removed the jointed knuckles, which to me was a good idea. Problem is they don't get the skins I want, but more importantly everything is overpriced for some unknown reason. Also they don't seem to deliver as much as Jazwares did. It feels like they just did 2 waves and that was the end.
>Star Wars/GI JoeI'm sick of Star Wars because they're all
>movie toysand they're all the same archtype of character
>lightsaber guy>has a gun>Trooper>Boba Fett template>boring/alien robotI've always wanted 6" Joes too, but they suffer the same design problems as ML's. They're still established to be unique military toys, but the whole thing still feels generic to me
