>>10714481If you're a WH40k fan, then you'll definitely feel disappointment about their size, especially since they're so overpriced.
They're basically the same size as Jazware's Spartans. Note the blonde haired figure behind the Jazwares Spartan (right side of pic) who reaches up to his shoulders. Space Marines are supposed to be taller, more like the McFarlane Spartan (on the left), where 1:18 humans stand under his armpits.
Biggest reason the Space Marines are undersized is because JoyToy is cheaping out on you. To make the Space Marines 1:18 scale, they'd have to use more molds to fit the larger pieces. This is why McFarlane's Halo line cost more than Hasbro's GI Joe line back in the day, and you nkow this is true because McFarlane has always been very bro with their prices, unlike Hasbro who needs to think about profit for their shareholders first.
Joytoy's Space Marines are undersized to fit in the same amount of molds as other 1:18 figures.
So you're defintely getting ripped. You can look at other 1:18 lines who produce larger figures that cost less than JoyToy's Space Marines, like Hiya's Robocop and Aliens line, where 5-7" 1:18 figures cost $40 despite being higher quality than JoyToy's.
And the other anons in this thread haven't been truthful about the quality of the line. We've had people report joints breaking on their non-Space Marine figures, which has been a known problem with JoyToy's line since they started making 1:18 figures. The Space Marines seem to be immune to that, because they're thicker.
And take a look at that Clone Trooper and how the blonde guy towers over that manlet. The Star Wars line isn't a true 1:18, but 3.75". Every SW fig looks like a manlet compared to actual 1:18 lines (2007+ GI Joes, Hiya, Jazwares, Marauder Gun Runners, JoyToy, Acid Rain, Toy Notch etc). This height difference was enough for a lot of 1:18 collectors to ditch anything 3.75", because it is noticeable when you collect enough figures.
