>>10710267It's flocked, yeah, and unlike the Heisei Mothra figures the legs are a molded detail on the body, not separate pieces. I like the figure a lot, though when I compare it to '64 Goji it seems maybe a little small. Oh well, who cares.
Thank you for the kind words. The Moguera only cost me I think $25, so the antenna was really the price I paid. Doesn't bother me much, lots of my figures have playwear. A couple even have Japanese kids' names written on them. Very charming, in my opinion.
>>10710289The Bangaichi figures are interesting, but I've never seen them at the right price for me. The ones I'm most interested in are Frankenstein and the Gargantuas, but for the latter I'm thinking of just getting the YMSF ones. I also had an idea to make a Mego-style Frankenstein, but I'd need to commission a head.
The crawling Baragon is very cool, and he's one of my favorite kaiju, but he's just too expensive and doesn't come up very often. '54 and Showa Ghidorah, I'm already happy with the versions of those I have. Fake Godzilla is tempting. Not really interested in the Mutos--really did not enjoy KOTM and that sortof soured my whole opinion on the Monsterverse. Still haven't seen GvK.
I don't really expect Bandai to bring back 8" in full force, but if they did and it wasn't too expensive I'd be for it. My issue with most of the recent 6" figures is of course the paint. They'd have to fix that, too.
Outside of new releases, the only other Bandai figures I feel I am "missing" are Desghidorah and Godzilla 2002/2003, Maybe DX Mechagodzilla 2 so I can have the Garuda. The biggest thing I'm hunting for is the Atelier G-1 Zedus, which I will probably never find. Oh well.
Please enjoy an old picture of my Jumbosaurus in its old perch.
