Before, people i interacted with became familiar with me enough to actually be friendly. Old, young, mids, whatever. Now? Only people i've known say hi and some of the older people who've only recently became familiar with me. No young people at all.
Of course, I'm older now so it might make me less approachable, but 3 years isn't enough to age me into a creepy grandpa everyone should beware.
Still, there's definitely been a change and it's quite noticeable with young people.
Also, all my nephews are incredibly insular. If it's not a meme with the sites they go to, they don't give a shit. I've tried getting them into books, comics, movies, and video games i think they'd like and they go "nah", but as soon it becomes a thing online somewhere, they're surprised i even have it.
Growing up, previous generations were subjected to multiple generations worth of entertainment, culture, and ideas thanks to broadcast and cable television. The internet has made it so you never have to look outside of your very specific world view now. They'er always in good company.
It's also impossible for Z and A kids to not use their iphones as soon as a thought pops into their head, whether watching tv, listening to music, eating, or just being social.
