No one says that because it goes without saying. Schizos like you who must breakdown every little thing written or things must be 0 or 100 can't help but make that assumption it is pathetic.
I'll indulge since you can't see how comic figures releases are not influenced by actual comics. Psylocke and Gambit? Clearly picked because of MvC. Much like Wolverine although he's popular enough in general. Until the movies MvC was really the only place most Japanese knew of Marvel characters. I said most for you, since you would argue not all Japanese know of Marvel or they could know about them from other places.
And guess what? They didn't sell. Much like how unknown character Spider-Gwen didn't sell and they stopped picking unknowns to the Japanese who MOSTLY don't read comics, this also made Kaiyodo LESS LIKELY to pick out of movie appearances. Especially since she sold once she was in the movie.
Also Yamaguchi have zero say into what he makes. There are picks though that are clearly chosen based on his talent though. Deathstroke, Arkham Knight, and Agent Venom fall into that category, because the tacticool Yamaguchi figures have always sold well. So they don't mind risking it. Deathstroke was once planned to be in the upcoming Batman film so that too probably helped the decision. The one big benefit to the comic designs, they don't need to wait for the film to come out to see the CGI changes that was made 2 weeks before the film release.
