nah I just donate to toys for tots. usually cars, plushes and action figures without many accessories. thought process (based on my own hand-me-down childhood) is you don't wanna get something like a nerf gun where they'll lose the darts and have a useless brick, or anything that needs batteries the parent isn't gonna wanna/be able to buy after the ones already in it run out.

This seems like a really worthwhile cause, but I can't really afford to buy gifts, especially the expensive stuff. I can barely afford for my own family right now, as it's pretty big, and I already donated to toys for tots this year.

Hopefully in a year or two I'll have more money to donate to a cause like this.

I used to but the local charity seriously sets up shop at all the local small to medium sized towns nearby asking for donations for the kids, gathers em up and takes them to the city to give to those kids and the local children get nothing.
Now most of us work with the local churches
