You're entitled to your opinion and the way you spend your money, and I do think your argument has some kind of value, what with the fatigue of more recent toys and action figures, but I do think that there are some figures and lines you can find that feel different and fresh to a certain extent.
If you like the Warhammer aesthetics, you may want to try out Archecore for example ? I think it's produced by a company related to the one who manufacturates the Astrobots, incidentally, but the designs, scale and subject are very different. Picture related is a transforming vehicle, but the line is a combination of smaller sized articulated figures with transforming vehicles that can combine to a certain extent.
