>>10789337Yeah, Hollywood writing female characters pretty much boils down to "every man around her is trash, every thing she tries is amazing!"
Somehow, they forgot about THE best action-females in their history, like Ripley and Sara Conner.
Make a story about a female guardsmen that finds herself under the guard of a custodian that forsees greatness in her, that way you can throw an absolute fuck ton of threats at them, and the girl struggles with living up to the expectation of having a golden bodyguard, while custodian just struggles against every threat, his unwavering resolve acting as her rock, and she finds the inner strength to achieve her destiny by believing in his resolve. There, that's your season 1, with the next focusing on her going on her own, because the custodian sacrificed himself to protect her, so now she needs to learn to find her resolve on her own, without her towering friend to protect her, and to believe in her. She now has to become what she was meant to become by her own will, by her own power. By season 3, she now has to fulfill her destiny and overcome a daemon, who is also in her head, and tries to tempt her away from her destiny, and accept a new, easier, more indulgent destiny, meanwhile she has a new astartes bodyguard, but she doesn't want to accept him because she feels bad about replacing her golden boyfriend with someone new.
Boom, you get plenty of internal struggles, as well as external. For the first half you can have whatever as villains, because it's her and golden boy vs the world, and then later it gets more specific, with chaos as the BBEG.
