Furthermore, May copyrighted the character of Rudolph and created "The Rudolph Company" just to deal with said copyright issues. Every time you hear "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" on the radio, or see the Christmas special, or buy a official Rudolph toy, some a descendant of May gets a shekel deposited into his/her bank account. I'm taken aback as you are. I thought Rudolph was a public domain figure. But no, some Jew in Chicago sits on his ass and collects royalties on a world famous Christmas figure.
