Do anons recommend Super 7? Are their $20 action figures just for display purposes only or can they be removed from the packed and posed without breakage?

They can be removed and aren't super brittle or anything. But when you're paying $20 for a 5POA thing, may as well just keep it MOC. It'll never do more than stand in the same pose its already in inside the package.

I honestly say, it fully depends. I only have three. The Christmas Optimus Prime and the two Fensler Films GI Joe tributes. Optimus is unboxed because I set him up for christmas while the other two don't have anything about the figures themselves that make them special aside from their cards, so they stay moc.

I only have one opened Reaction figure, Mr Bones, because the card wasn't lending much to the overall look. As a toy the figures are fine, won't break just from moving and seem like they could take being played with.
Really though, after their earliest waves, it seems like the cards became increasingly part of the presentation. The other reaction i have is The Gimp, thats staying on card.

For starters, look for deals, many can be had for less than $20. These are incredibly solid figures. I absolutely love them. Their stuff is far better than the cheap crap they pumped out when they were distributed by Funko about a decade ago. These Black Hole figures are amazing, I opened all three. Super7 goes that extra mile to where the bulk of the figure is solidly molded in its proper color, rather than the cheap shit such as many of Mezco's 5-points that are mostly painted and just feel cheap by comparison. The company has a lot of issues but the ReActions are really solid.

I always thought Super7 abd their ReAction figures were dumb as hell. Then they came out with Godzilla figures and look at me now. I guess if you like a thing, they might strike with you. Because I always dismissed them, until they made a thing I liked and now I love them.

But also, their shtick works a lot better for nonhuman designs, so monsters and robots fit right in.

I just got my Hedorah. Still no Minya found in a store yet. Hedorah might be their best figure, he's so solid and has wonderful paint. Megalon is a contender, which surprised me. He was my favorite before I got Hedorah. Least favorite is Rodan, who has floppy wings which knock him off balance.

Also, why can I find every monster but Godzilla himself? I'm about "this" close to just flat out ordering one online. It feels weird not having just a standard Godzilla in my collection with all this Showa goodness

The cobra bat is easily the best reaction figure so far. One of the cooler figures I've gotten this year. Great paint, the addition of a clear plastic bit with innards you can see, additional accessories, a working holster, and swap out hands that in turn give it a little extra articulation all add up to an incredible figure. I wish they'd be a little less blinded by the basics of the format and try to push the boundaries of designs more to incorporate things like this into more figures. Another good example is the weirdest guy with a bunch of weapons that you can stick through his body. Just extra touches that make the figures more than a 5 poa brick with one accessory.

Some of the reaction figures are pretty nice and have some charm to them, but they are 5POA figures so what you see is pretty much what you get. Their in house IPs (the worst and the weirdest) are also pretty nice, but you're either gonna love or hate the aesthetic. Additionally, they retail for 20 but you can usually find them much cheaper on Amazon, EE, etc.

Their ultimates lines seem inconsistent at best and I have seen some absolute horror stories about QC so I just generally avoid any of their six inch scale stuff. I purchased a radioactive man for $15 and the articulation felt so stiff/rigid and then they absolutely fucked their Disney line...so I just pretend they only make reaction figures.
