Yeah, I get that, but the post also mentions that the battle pass is only available in Japan, thus if I get one, I should be able to use the app, right?

This think is honestly beautiful and I would be afraid of messing it up because of how hard it is to replace. I know there's been obvious comparisons to dran sword, but seeing these lads side by side I can see phoenix feather is rather elegant with more smoothed than its attack type cousin.

We literally had 3 generations from 1999 to 2021 be using magic bullshit to summon giant monsters to fight.

Fantasy Beyblade can't return when it barely left - they're trying something new to capture higher sales, and it's worked for the most part.

The series isn't even that dark, it's barely beyond the seriousness of the writing of a series like Gundam Build Fighters.

My recommendation is for everyone to try you best on the intermittent amazon jp restocks. I see between 5 and 10 listed at a given time and are gone in 10 minutes or less. This time it lasted for the maximum of 10 minutes.

I liked Burst for the change, but I want the magic. Burst had some real strategies with the launches.
It was cool to see the Bank Launch in the Anime. But later seasons they had to go back to fantasy.

Because the "realism" was too limiting for plot. I missed when they explicitly controlled their tops.
They still do. But now lie, and only do it implicitly. They used ot battle on any surface (dirt, grass).
Now they battle in the same cgi stadium. But I guess it stops the kids from launching onto concrete.

X is doing it all this again, but without the launch techniques of Burst and it feels much more boring.
But now using VR to explain avatars. Which is weird it took them so long to do what S1 Yugioh did.

Watched that last night. I'm honestly too inexperienced to know any better, but what is the rule about customization of your beyblades? I see powder coating on ebay (fucking pricey), altering the little symbol gems themselves with custom stickers (I assume), and also watching these painted ones get roughed up makes me want to lean into it and paint battle damage on to make it look like it's been fighting in a world war for a decade. Even a nulnoil wash would make the chipped paint look bad ass.

Depends on if you count Gundam model kits. Lots of people like to weather their kits. I've even seen someone on youtube strap little firecrackers on a kit to give it actual damage and go from there. Bandai also used to sell a variant of their MSIA figure like that were all battle scarred.

You know, I figured out why Burst and X have such poorly animated fight scenes. In Bakuten Shoot and Metal Fight, they had two different models for each bey, one for when they're stationary/slow, and one for when they're spinning. For some reason, Burst and X don't do this and use the same model for every scene.

Well I got the three Viper Tail, but no Shark Edge. At least I was able to get two low flat out of it, along with a top layer for Wizard Arrow, Shield Knight, and Hellscythe. Now I'm just waiting for Phoenix Wing in January.

Died a long time ago. It was made by Canadian building blocks brand "Mega Bloks" and actually had input from a Beyblade fan from the WBO.

As far as I know, they only got into some Asian markets like Korea, and a few European markets.

I would've looked into Metal Fight more if it weren't so stringent on left spinners. It's the same issue I had with OG growing up, it was basically only Dragoon amongst a sea of rights. Then Metal Fight comes back and does the same damn thing, but then tosses in Perseus as a dual spinner. Was glad to see Burst finally abandon that dumb pretention and allowed more left rotations for each typing instead of inhibiting themselves for nearly two decades. Hopefully X doesn't cause TT to regress on that decision.

I actually do like the Burst's battle chorgraphy.I prefer the radial blur, but that gif looks good.
My problem is X feels boring to even Burst. IRL they're fast but they feel slow in the anime.
They don't feel any faster then previous gens. And in Burst the launch style mattered a lot.

OG you can turn any beyblade into left spin. You take the sping gear from any Dragoon.
For metal it was too dangerous to do that. Some design's recoil would be too much.

This is some weird sentiment from MFBfags, who suck Ryuga's dick so hard they forgot the series had 4 other left spin Beys.

Never mind the fact that the OG plastics series had both spin directions for their Beys.

Left spin saturation is cringe, not because "it mean something", but because the metagame devolved into boring as fuck right spin and left spin Stamina combos tying over and over.

But that's an issue that has nothing to do specifically with left spin. Stamina,specifically LAD combos, was always seen as a more sophisticated and viable strategy, so people naturally jumped on it.

You would have to create an xtreme line that has the same gauge of gear teeth and yet it will need to also be extraordinarily long compared to the smaller stadium. I was thinking of buying a full set of viper tails, just to have the extra parts and tips. Then I really want a Rhino, but I don't know what tip the Horn wants. I also love the idea of getting a Leon Claw, but one comes in the newest random booster that I might try and collect also, it's just missing the bit that I want (Point). Then of course you have the Phoenix Wing king shit, and that's cool, but I am just getting into the hobby and don't mind exploring all of the existing releases.

Both of those animal beys are something of a pet future project of mine. I want to find a good combo and strategy for Rhino, because I've seen it perform in videos just very inconsistently. Awesome to hear that. I think the blade design is highly unique but the bit they paired it with just makes it so vulnerable. I've been keeping fingers crossed we'll get an evolved rhino design at some point to really push the concept into usable territory but until then I'm planning on getting the horn into a niche but usable space.

So I got my niece and nephew some beyblades for Christmas because I had the OG ones when I was a little kid. I got them the quad strike burst ones and they just totally suck. Like, they only sit super loosely on the launchers and if you touch it or wiggle it at all it falls off. Which of course makes it hard as fuck for little kids. Takara tomy. hasbro goes out of their way to use lower quality plastic and different parts to cut costs. if you're more interested in X though it doesn't really matter since hasbro X does't come out until fall.

I ended up buying two off eBay from the new X series, HellsScythe and Dransword. Was tempted to get one of the higher quality string launchers but I feel like I always end up spending a lot on new hobbies when I should just start slow. I do wanna get an arena or some sort of cheap bowl to use as one, I saw some at a 5 and Below store for $20 with a triple pack of bey, but I imagine they got cheaper arenas elsewhere or online.

The reason they look samey to you is the lack of stickers or extra gribble. Truthfully X has the same amount of "sameness" as every generation, except nostalgia goggles will cloud it.

The reason they're not distinct in X is because there is no paint, no panel lines, no stickers, no gribble, nothing. Just a Bit Chip in the middle and bare metal around it.

There's a simialr issue with Hasbro taking away stickers in Zero-G, which made all Zero-G Beys look samey to a newcomer.

Here's the pullrates from what I assume is a sealed case of the new random boosters. It appears two of the Wyverns have been swapped for one extra Knight Lance and Wizard Arrow. So you're more likely to pull purple arrow and black lance, but fortunately those both come with GEAR BALL bits, which is the latest bit offered in this booster set.

I think buying three has a good chance of pulling at least one ball bit, but at that point I'm like a third of the way towards a complete set... Ehh, I don't own very many beys right now, so having a full kit wouldn't be the worst outcome for me. Wish it had a point or orb hidden in the set, but oh well. I think at least with Rush, 560 benefits from the extra bit of sturdiness so it's less likely to burst, but I don't think 460 would be the worst, especially if you want to try to supplement it's admittedly abysmal endurance to get as much life from it as possible
That being said, that recoil
is too crazy to pass up, so I'm more than satisfied with it as my main attack bey
