Well you could attribute the inflated prices the collabs have to limited unit numbers and extensive retooling(or just whole new molds in a few cases)

Or you could attribute it to the psychology of the consumer.
Even if you want one the collab figures doesn't the ~30% inflation make you hesitate? Why not just ask for one for Christmas or a birthday?
Or it isn't hard for a normalfag to see something like a Delorean Transformer and think that zort of broad appeal idea would make a great gift for a nerd in their life

Got soundwave and chase today. Soundwave was just from Burlington so he was pretty cheap like 11$. I remember seeing people complain about his gaps but they’re not that bad. Very strong robot mode but that alt mode may as well not exist. Now as for chase he’s honestly pretty cool. I like him a lot but the hood chest piece slopes in and kinda looks ugly and arm connector on the right is really loose where a light touch will make the entire arm sag. The transformation does some cool things with his legs but it can be kinda difficult to get it all snug together. It’s not much but I’m pretty happy with what I got.

The two-pack >>10799584 is super expensive as it was an Amazon exclusive released during Covid. There is a second two-pack with the recent Ss Voyager class Ironhide but both are battle damaged.

Cheapest option would be hunting down the WFC Cybertron mode Prowl. Which has one thing that makes it different from the two-pack versions, in that it has a unique head whereas all later Prowls (for some strange reason) all use the Bluestreak/Silverstreak head.

Honestly the other MP cars I have (red Bumblebee and G2 Sideswipe) are absolute delights. I do miss the older MP style, honestly; not a big MP guy but there's something so nice about the simple but clever engineering, cool robot modes and realistic cars.

I massively recommend getting MP Skids or one of the repaints if that's the case, that MP feels straight out of 2012-2014

That wrecker insignia is pretty old, I think. No idea where it originates from though.
I like it personally, I knew about it before the subline and I thought it was cool to see it finally get used, plus they're all printed in a sexy metallic blue

The main problem I've always had with the Wreckers insignia is that the bigger eyes and short forehead makes the face a bit dumb looking compared to the regular Autobot logo.

I also wish Legacy Leadfoot, the only Transformer I own with that emblem, had a G2 Autobot logo instead. My only reason for buying it is my nostalgia for the design and colors, as I still own the original toy. The Wreckers emblem just feels out of place as I didn't even know he was one of them in some comics until recently.

I've been thinking of getting Masterpiece Megatron so he can scale with the rest of my Masterpiece Decepticons. (I have the first MM which is way too big)
However he is expensive as all fuck and will probably break the minute I do anything with him. Should I just get the KO version instead or is that too lame?

Went to Walmart to get bombshell since I knew he was there and ended up walking out with a gamer optimus! The arm gimmick with the gun is kinda dumb but he looks just like how I remember him from the games, really happy I found him since I was looking for him a few months ago.

Just handle it like an expensive import figure, as that's exactly what it is. Just use common sense, don't bruteforce things and always apply force close to the joints so you don't unecessarily stress the plastic, do that and you'll be fine. He's really expressive and the transformation has some steps that are like magic, the way the legs expand from a thin pistol grip is pretty cool. Shame that Megatron is grey because you either end up with nice paint that can potentially scratch like in this case or ugly unpainted light grey plastic that would look like shit on something as big as a MP. Thre's no good solution.

Tigerhawk actually came in on Xmas Eve. I got a notification from Amazon since I pre-ordered him. I have my issues with him but I really do like him. I know I’ll get shit on for that opinion, but I’m not denying he has all the issues that were already raised. I think his headsculpt is fine however. You can do his funny under the arm pose with him that he does in exactly .5 seconds of a scene. Pic related.

As for Core BW Dinobot, he’s on the leaks list. Guess we will see how he pans out.

Springer is more of a "maybe, if it goes on sale" kinda thing. I don't expect him to be insanely different but G1 springer is really bulbous and rounded compared to siege's satisfying blockiness, and that leader budget may just have him edge out as the better figure. I can just pretend my WnR springer is him going through a phase.

It definitely didn't and I'm in the market for a standard Optimus since all I have right now is MP10v, having skipped Siege and Earthrise both. But I can easily imagine SS86 Optimus being a bloated waste if it's a commander and not a leader.

I'm on the same boat, but I'm considering the Siege mold to have every version of Prime (Orion, cybertronian, earth mode and Star Convoy). Also a prime easier to transform than MP10v, hes great but not a fun toy to flip between modes.

I'd also like to add that the "door" for the arm for the hand to fold into is also on a friction tab as well. So basically an entire redesign of this area is possible without being obvious to an outsider. So ball joints with increased range to pitch downwards is completely in the realm of possibilities.

My biggest problem with it other than the face is that the vehicle mode is a little crummy and the overall package never really seemed like an $80+ toy to me. It's a tough one to handle though, admittedly. The face is impossible to defend, though -- it's just ass.

I'm too deep into genretaions (own a representation of almost every character), but if I could start again I'd go with 3p legends scale, not only are those mp looking marvels, they're not that expensive anymore (some even have cheaper ko options), you'd also save a lot of space and the titans look way better with them.

But if you haveto go official... MPs are missing a ton of characters, so your best bet is the mainline, good luck paying mp prices for figures like earthrise Sunstreaker and Runamuck tho.

It absolutely looks like shit in every photo I've ever seen AND taken, and is a big reason why I was so hesitant on getting Kingdom Rodimus, until I saw him on a big discount.
Honestly, the face is great in real life. It's just the way cameras capture the light bouncing off his face, over-emphasizing certain lines/angles and features, making him look way uglier than he really is. In person, he just looks matured and a bit grizzly.
Will also admit it's probably styled more directly based off his depiction (visual and personality-wise) in the Marvel comics, but honestly that's a good thing imo, since animation Rodimus Prime was just really boring outside of a few really funny sardonic lines. Also less distinct from Hot Rod; where vice versa, I think toon-Hot Rod obviously is more iconic than Marvel, since he was barely ever Hot Rod in the comic at all, lole.

OG TM2 Megatron was an absolute pile of shit. Even as a kid I was saying "what the fuck is this shit?" Fiddly piece of shit that didn't even do half the shit it was advertised.

The new ones are far from perfect but this is a perfect case of nostalgia goggles if I've ever seen one. OG Tigerhawk was fiddly as fuck. At least you can move around the new one without his missiles flying across the room or getting lost.

I still have the original and it's the same size as this one so I'm not really sure why the old one is somehow better than the new for you. Vacuum Chrome doesn't carry an entire figure.

The plastic quality is better, the figures are sturdier. I'm not sure what fiddly-ness you're talking about in regards to the old figures, but they're not fiddly at all. The transformations are more complex, but if you're a fan of the brain dead transformations Hasbro had been using lately for smooth brains, then more power to you. The only legitimate gripe in your post is that the original Tigerhawk had hair trigger missiles. Aside from that and ankle rockers, the old figure is superior to the new one.

Are you high? It absolutely is not sturdier plastic. The ball joints are all worn down and loose. New one is tight as fuck. You literally made up a gripe. "brain dead transformations." TM2 Megatron (New) is way better of an actual figure than the old. I don't know how you can argue that it's not. The joints even when it came out were looser than the new one and didn't even lock into place. Tigerhawk had almost no meaningful poseability. His hands are in permanent palms to the air mode. If his skirt piece comes unpegged because you're messing with the figure, the hips fall apart. His bicep-to-shoulder joint is like a 15 degree angle. Again, I have no idea how you think this is superior. I guess it comes down to what you personally want out of your figures. To me, in comparison to the new one, the milky, detail-masking white of the old is enough for me to put it away over the new one.

I can't even figure out how to argue how you think that the old Megs is better than the new one, even though I have a ton of issues with the new one. I just can't picture in my head aside from vacmetal that you think is so great about it. Transformation is no less "brain dead" than the new one. At least the new one tried to do some funny shit with the claws contributing to the chest transformation. The only thing I can maybe level with you on is the paint because I hate this flat purple chest. But again, I'm starting to think you and I have different specific wants out of figures.

Yup. Well kinda. I did the recommended thing and sanded down those pegs for the panels. Thing game with stress marks on the one arm/leg panel right out of the box, but it's fine now. I actually had to Frankenstein a few of them to get them to work and sent the now completely defective one back to Amazon and made sure they didn't sell it to anyone else. Weirdly it actually came with a defect on the super legs. There is a tab on the underside of it that looked like it warped in the factory because the gold knee was able to pivot, so it's not like I was lying. It wouldn't let the turret tab into it either.

The faceplate on normal mode had a tiny paint glob on it and some weird scratchy looking artifact but I still kept it. Springs and paint on the trailer were the best I've had out of all the copies I got.

Yes. Unfortunately on this copy, it was the second tightest fit. First one I got was the worst, second was the easiest fit, and this one still makes me feel like I'm going to chip all the paint off of the grill, but I have some Gundam markers, so it's whatever. It was definitely my fault on the first copy because I was just desperately trying to fit it. I didn't know there was a defacto exact correct angle to fit it in. Thought I could angle it in and then shift it while inserting it and that's probably how the stress marks happened.

I can honestly say that this has been kind of worth it? Taught me a lot about doing research and tinkering with mainline figures without destroying them. Despite, you know, destroying one in the process. But I was able to eliminate one figure out of circulation instead of 3 through all of this, so that's a win right?

Yeah it does feel great to sit down and disassemble the toy to fix something important. Used to be afraid of doing that back then but ever since I got into Gunpla it was smooth sailing. As soon as I saw that one guy break that shin flap panel I knew it was time to open the legs and sand that peg down. I'm just surprised ever since I bought that toy that that panel hasn't broke on me for a couple of months until that guy made a warning about it. Good thing you took my advice on that or else you would have broken something else on your Armada Optimus.

So I got around to playing with RoTF Leader Starscream. I don't have the MP or SS to compare him with, but wow what a hefty and complex joint. If the MP was this but with a normal elbow bend, wrist articulation, am ankle tilt and a bicep swivel it would be totally perfect. Its really interesting to me how the back parts are all held on. The way his arm missiles and arm chaingun are deployed is awesome and more than deserved to be used on the MPs which have peg on weapons. I'm still probably going to grab M0 Screamer at some point, but wow Leader screamer was close and his alt mode os 0retty damn good for a Jetformer, and the way he transforms into robot mode is more interesting than many jetformers.

In my case I find both transformation schemes interesting. I like the classic and straighforward (as that was how the thing was designed from the very start) power armor, and also the novelty of having a Magnus with a more complex transformation that achieves the robot mode looks without the need of following the original G1 toy (that I also own) "cab robot with armor trailer" thing.

That's the reason I recently bought the SS even if I already own the Kingdom, I can appreciate both.

I wish I liked him more. The proportions are more in line with what I like compared to Bumblebee's but Bumblebee's perfect truck mode really goes a long way. I don't care for the RotB truck mode with all its extra "grrr so tough" add-ons.

Considering they do the UT updates in a set of 4 I would like to see Energon Optimus, Wing Saber, Megatron/Galvatron and Scorponok. The Autobot combiners I definitely want to see updated but I can imagine Hasbro being uneasy since at best Voyager class would be the minimum for them, Deluxe class is probably impossible.

I just hope whenever Hasbro gets to them that they keep the combining gimmick intact and like the way the old toy is. Some people believe the best way to update them is to make them Weaponizers that split at the waist like Dragstrip and I just cannot see that happening. Not for the likes of Hot Shot, Inferno, Rodimus and Prowl because the original Deluxe Autobot combiners were so simple in their combination that they never actually split at the waist (with the exception of Rodimus) so making them weaponizers would just make them unnecessarily complex.

The great thing about /vr/ is that there's an endless library of good old stuff to try out that you've probably never tried. I had a blast last spring playing Uncharted Waters 2 for SNES, great KOEI dim of the age of sail with intricate trading mechanics, alternate characters/paths and an interconnected campaign you can see from six different perspectives. Just sailing around finding new discoveries alone is fun, or you can run guns to Africa and pocket a tidy profit.

You should look into setting up Gamecube homebrew so you can use Gameboy Interface instead, it works much better than the Gameboy Player Startup Disc. Gamecube hacking is more complicated to set up than most consoles but it's worth figuring out instead of having to spend 200$ on a shitty disc.

Honestly that's just insulting to classic OP.

All the praise Reactivate has been getting has definitely been an eye-opener to just how fucking tasteless the average TF fan is when it comes to aesthetic; you either like zero detail at all so everything looks like a garbage cartoon from 40 years ago, or you snap entirely to the other end of the spectrum and think it's good to cover everything is stupid generic greebles that clash completely with each other. It also makes it painfully clear how little most Transformers fans care about alt modes because that is one of the ugliest "trucks" I've ever seen. But honestly the bot mode is no prize either. It's like a stack of ugly gray shit wearing a Optimus smock.

Seriously it's not like we're starved for G1-esque cab-over Optimi anymore. We've gotten like half a dozen in the last year or two alone, and they're all pretty much better than this.

When they get around to remaking Jetfire, leader class won't be enough to fit in all his gimmicks. But at the same time, he's not enough to justify a Commander class on his own. I wonder what extra gimmicks or accessories they'll include to make him fit. At the same time I do think Overload can probably be done as a leader though.

Welp, bought a Legacy Hot Shit and Jolt set on ebay that was missing all accesories, including Jolt. Ended up keeping the Hot Shot after the seller tried forcing me to ship it.

So now I have my money and a Powerlinx Hot Shot, but no Jolt. Also this Hot shot really sucks, it's so much worse than my legacy version, most of the joints are floppy and the head is fully painted so fiddling with his visor will eventuslly result in paint chipping.

I'm not sure if the Titan Master or the bigger one is Zarak, and it might be moot being a corpse animated by an evil space thingy anyway.). The black insert things keep falling off, movement seems oddly limited in areas that seem like they should be free, and the visor(?) thing is a hassle to work with with the whole attachment popping off. Main body is huge as fuck. I was afraid of breaking it, so I definitely followed the instructions instead of just fiddling in my hands like usual. Goofy-ass robot approximation of scorpion I don't hate, but feels less sturdy than I would have thought. Going to base mode was really easy. Between the three I wonder which was more important because the base sure is interesting, but has strange aspects that seem not suitable for little guys like the way the legs are shaped. All these 5mm pegs on the items makes me want to try out all kinds of wacky oversized weapons on my regular-sized guys.

Hot Shot's Armada design is kinda wonky but it still is a good looking design, he's got the backpack that lets out a cannon whenever Jolt is slapped onto his ass. He's got the visor and racing harness like detail on the chest evoking an image of a race car driver and chainsaws on his feet that he actually uses not just as chainsaws but as pseudo wheels so he can rollerskate. For whatever reason though it seems the toys we get just can't fully capture the animation model even if the original toy was designed first before the animation model. Maybe if there was a Masterpiece Armada/Micron Legends line...

I think they were trying to give some Volkswagen Beetle DNA to it considering it's a fictional design and being a Bumblebee stand in. It kinda works on me though I would love if it is a bit more sporty like an Audi. The car mode does improve with Jolt on the back though so there's that.

Adding on, even with how mixed the Legacy toy is I hope it and the original animation model becomes the standard for an Armada/Micron Legends era Hot Shot. For years, a lot of people nowadays associate Hot Shot with his Animated version where he has dual flamethrowers and takes his name very literal. Yeah I do agree the robot mode isn't the best, he doesn't even have proper neck articulation. Energon/Superlink to me is where thanks to the toy first then animation model later mantra the anime tweaked and saved a lot of these deigns. The toys from that line feel very Bandai for some reason, blocky and dense toys with connection tabs that rival the Super Sentai Robo/Megazord toys of the time. Meanwhile the anime cleaned them up and improved on them a lot. (Picrel is concept art but still looks way better than the toys we got)

Real talk, I actually love SL Optimus from a character design standpoint. Yeah, he has a beer gut, but combined with his small pistol, he evokes the image of a middle-aged police chief to me - which is fitting, considering that Super Link takes place a significant number of years after Micron Legend, and Armada Optimus was already known for being a bit of an edgy boi, so having his future self be a bit of a grizzled vet just... really works for me. Same goes for his SL super mode, where all the limbs feel sort of utilitarian, versus the more flashy Armada super mode.
Maybe this sorta image wasn't reflected THAT hard in the anime, but he was definitely more quick to resort to offensive measures, like with his debate with Rodimus over Unicron. Sort of a case where headcanon is making me like him more than I would otherwise I guess, but I dunno, point is I find the design fun at the end of the day.

i've been trying that for some time and it's quite hard, but doable. Found some nice robo skeleton designs, used em, still waiting to find the time to flesh them out. But those joints aren't the strongest, so big stuff still requires tough ratchets. It's the trouble with brick building stuff, they're only designed to be strong in one direction, and easily taken apart for rebuilds.

Prowl came in! I really like this dude. Transformation is a touch fiddly in places but nothing horrendous, and it's hard to argue with the results. Good articulation and he looks stellar. Car mode especially is 10/10. I'm tempted to get some of those aftermarket shoulder cannons but I don't know how easily available they are and I do like that he's self-contained with the rifle stowing on the roof.
Anyway, super cool dude. Looks great with my other MP cars. Wanna get a Skids mold next but torn between Skids (the blue is delightful) or Crosscut (nice silver and comes with the Motocompo drone).

I just hope they get to all this stuff before someone else takes over the design team and ruins everything they've been doing.

I seriously can't understand why they'd add a specific slot on the back of Armada Prime and a trailer hitch if they weren't at least planning on Overload. I can picture them skipping Jetfire since I have no idea how the fuck they're going to fill up the torso space on Jetfire Prime mode on the back. They did a good job with Super Mode filling that space in, but they'd have to add a bunch of doohickies to Jetfire to fill all that space in nicely. But if they made him Commander and added a minicon team, that would be a no-brainer buy for me.

Both have the same deco layout but different shades of purple. They might pull an SG Magnus and give Spacewarp an extra Astrotrain head. Ross was good to me. Lots of unsold Buzzworthy, Speedia 500, and some lucky discount finds at other stores. Should've grabbed BB Kup, and Cliff too, couldn't find screaming green Hoist. Skipped the Nightprowler and other BW Legacy recolors.
Also was a 30% discount at Target like week before Xmas, That's where I got the Brownpants set. Almost had a minor heart attack when I spotted a single Minerva in the wild at 30% off at a local Walgreens. Some of those were gifts too. Like the Insecticon trio, and Nova Prime. Can't wait to construct Junkion Rex.

What really bugs me is that the shoulder movement is super good. I can even live with the static elbows
But the lack of knees on the super straight leg is killing posing options. Even if they were static but with a slight bend it'd be better

MP36 is complex, but he isn't anywhere near MP05's infamous fragile nature. His big "oh noooo" moment is that he's slathered in paint so people who expect Hasbro's unpainted toys fret about every nick and chip that could hypothetically happen. I feel he's very expressive and has that sort of "dynamic" look to him even standing around. And his laughing face is one of the best looking Megatron headsculpts around, to me.

Same with BA's, I really would have enjoyed a spring + string harpoon gun though. I got the 20th anniv Dinobot after getting Cheetor, for many years I kicked myself for not getting Tarantulas instead
Filler gaps and addons for Grapple made him look like an MP but costs that much too, I'd only do that for like, a #1 favourite if just straight-up buying a better 3P figure wasn't a thing. Thankfully I'm pretty happy with Siege Magnus, and the recent Hot Rod and Rodimus

What ones stand out to you? Soundwave at least looks interesting, but the two wheels in robot mode seems like it won't work well as a toy. I really hate the look of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee a lot. Ratchet feels overly committed to in-jokes like the windscreen face cover and being Movie Ratchet's colors and general altmode. Ironhide is about average for an Ironhide of the era. Megatron feels disconnected to his altmode so wonder he mutated into a flying thing. Starscream is just a diseased looking version of normal. Also they are keeping the godawful tron lines.

your picrel is a difference in plastic material (ABS etc.). in that specific case just compare the henkei edition, no such issue

This kind of explains why Bulkhead is called Ironhide in the Japanese dub.

The actual TFP was basically ripping off the starting cast of Animated with Prime/Ratchet/BB/Bulkhead and Arcee subtituting Prowl as the bikeformer.

It's weird. The whole reason I avoided normal Tigatron was yellowing but I see people with versions of him with no yellowing at all. I hate that this is something I can't count on not happening.

Interesting, because a good number of people have complained about Chase's transformation being frustrating. I suppose it's moments like this that remind me how much of the Transformers collectors fanbase are retards with the motor-skills of a toddler.

Prowl was my first licensed MP bot 10 years ago, and looking at him in car mode really hit the point home. I loved how the lines of the car were taken into account from every angle, especially from the top down, the way the body bows out around the middle and narrows at the front and the back. The care put into designing a good, realistic car mode truly is something you only get from a good MP. I liked him so much I actually bought both of his repaints despite telling myself I wouldn't, lol.
>I'm tempted to get some of those aftermarket shoulder cannons but I don't know how easily available they are and I do like that he's self-contained with the rifle stowing on the roof.
There were actually official ones that came as an Amazon JP exclusive or something, and they were designed to peg into little rectangular holes just behind the rear wheels in car mode. I found them on ebay some years back, and I think Dr. Wu made an aftermarket set that also used the same ports.

Anyway, good taste in bots, anon. That era of MP was what got me into Transformers and I'm glad to see people still getting wowed by them.

I went for Crosscut because the silver/black/red combo is gorgeous, and I'm always a sucker for yellow eyes. The motocompo drone is a nice homage to the real Honda City, but honestly I left mine in the box and haven't missed it.

Be warned, however, that Crosscut was a Takara Mall exclusive or somesuch, which means the only way to get him is through a western site that imports him for you, like TFsource or BBTS, so you're stuck paying $90 whereas the other versions of the mold could be had for around 60-ish if you bought directly from Japanese hobby site.

Bought Legacy Shadowstriker out of spite. Seeing her on the shelf week after week. Just one every single time. I don't have enough fembots and didn't want to wait for Slipstream (skipping Windblade because I have like 30 Autobots and no Decepticons). She's ok I guess. Secret booba mode that guts the articulation I guess. I know she's meant to be Sideburn coming whenever, but I just didn't feel like waiting.

Overall very OK figure. The shoulder articulation is a nitpick but it's whatever. I do feel like I should have just spent my money on Animated Bumblebee or something.

It may look stupid, but it has a function. Jet mode has weapons fixed in place, meaning that to shoot anything, you need to be flying right at it and keeping it directly in front of you at all times - not easy to do when you're barreling through the sky faster than the speed of sound. Batteroid (robot) mode gives you far more accuracy since the robot arms function as gimballed weapons that can track and lead targets even if you're not facing directly at them - at the cost of having to move much slower because humanoid shapes aren't exactly the most aerodynamic thing out there and create a lot of drag. Gerwalk is a mid-point between the two, letting you move faster than Batteroid but slower than Jet while still having gimballed weapons for better accuracy and legs that can be useful for bouncing off of terrain for sudden changes of direction or emergency landings; in the various Macross anime and games, Gerwalk gets used for all sorts of shit, so just because it looks a bit goofy, it doesn't mean it's without reason.

They're literally the chairs for his car mode, and they actually have no ankle tilt on them at all because of this. He's big, but he's hollow, has no waist, ankle, or wrist rotation, and can't even deploy his one cassette when he's in vehicle mode because the door is on the bottom of the car. Really, the only worthwhile thing here is Not!Howlback, who at least is using the MP Ravage mold and has a ton of articulation; Soundwave himself is just too compromised and way too big, all because he's designed to scale with the two literal who's that he comes packed with.

Because they didn't make whole new molds for the G.I. Joes - the two characters packed in with Soundwave are reprints of old 80's era figures, which means the molds already existed; Soundwave was created from scratch to scale to them, rather than making whole new Joes to scale with Soundwave. there's a reason it became huge. it did amazing things in Xenoblade where it meant something specific to the setting. But by the time we got to that one game Astral Chain, it was just getting ridiculous. Too visually noisy, too much neon glow and too many stripes of it on everything with instantly dated 'tech' shapes in the holographic displays.
'round when Prime came out, it would have probably gone over well. But then they did something a bit different, giving us the dark energon and the effects it has on their bodies, so it's best not to have competing visual effects.

It's crazy just how much a really good figure can change your opinion on summin.
I've always respected Beast Wars and thought it was good, but it never quite clicked with my tastes in quite the same way that Animated, 2007/RotF, and the UT did. I think it was largely to do with the toys I've handled, actually, which's relatively few; mainly just Kingdom Rattrap, Waspinator, and Legacy Tarantulas.
God fucking damn, I love this LegUni Tasmania Kid, though; I think he alone has helped me see the appeal in the designs at this point, lmao. His proportions are great in both modes, his bot mode is SO damn poseable for such a tiny figure, and even if it's because of the lower jaw becoming his heels, his beast mode still having an opening jaw is so cute. Actually, I think this's my second Core figure in general too, after Rattrap. Man, these wrists give him so much character though, and the design really lends itself to his poseability; the angles and points just make him look cool, and gets you wanting to stick him in all sortsa poses. He's so expressive. Love this little dude so much. Man, I wonder if I should pick up the the Core Super Link Galvatron now...

I’m the guy who said he bought this figure yesterday. I was underwhelmed but I dunno. There’s something about it. I love the transformation but the result of said transformation leaves something to be desired. Mostly because of playability. You can’t move her arms easily without untabbing the back. Unfortunate. I was dicking around with some blast effects though and by sheer accident found that you can make a neat little knockoff lightsaber for her. Gives me a way to store blast effects when I have them on display at least.

Considering we never got kits for Steelbane or Skullitron, probably never. That being said, the feet themselves are on balljoints (the ankles are what's pinned), so there may still be a way to make that work with a kit; the mold's biggest issue according to that one anon who did a review for Skullitron a few threads back is apparently the front beast arms and shoulders being too floppy, which shouldn't be a problem here because Crimsonflame doesn't have big heavy wings attached to them like the other two uses of the mold did.
Regardless, after looking up Steelbane and Skullitron, I really kinda want this guy, floppy or no, but I don't recall anyone saying he was ever going to be released over here.

Black turtle and white tiger; there's also a gold dragon/kirin. It would be pretty cool, especially Genbu/Xuánwǔ (the turtle) and Suzaku/Zhūquè (the bird, who would be a fembot) if done right. Not sure why they haven't done it yet, but I know Beast Box is doing it (they already had the Azure Dragon and Kirin, just released the Tiger, and showed off a prototype of the turtle).

Why not both? The Vermilion Bird is always depicted as a female entity, and you've got four (five) lords total to choose from, so two (three) guys and two girls seems fair.

Easier solution would be to just pop off the entire shin (which attaches to the thigh on a mushroom peg) and make a whole new set of shins that rotate around at the base, letting you spin the feet under the leg after the dragon head/tail have been extended, letting you tuck them into the hollow gap in the back of the shin (though there would also have to be a way to rotate the dragon head and tail so they pint upright).
