I checked the Mattel's financials the other day and they consider Mega to be an "iconic brand" along with Barbie, MoTU, and Thomas the Tank Engine, so I think we're good for now. Even if they were to shutdown company it wouldn't do much. Not only has Mega been pretty meh recently--being extremely out of touch while trying to be like Lego--but there is decades of toys beyond license stuff to talk about, so we'll be fine either way.

Any of you guys know of some figures that could be kit-bashed into pic related? I realized recently Mega scales pretty well with TF's and I wanted this dude to go with my Magnificus. I couldn't find any convenient checklists or anything where I could quickly locate figures with blue bodies though.

Well they pushed for the whole "epic adventurer" angle which is why we only got like 2 named characters, a bunch of shitty weapon and race choices and they also said mega couldn't use cod parts because it has to be it own thing, mega is not entirely innocent because they made the horrible pieces the wow minis have but still blizzard didn't let them do their own thing also blizzard has a horrible reputation when it comes to working with toy companies but maybe MS can change that.

Saw the newest 'Hog at Walmart the other day, couldn't fathom how it was 60 maplebucks (i know, five figs but it's from the stupid reboot show where they show Chief's face which is also in the set. If I can get it at deep discount sometime maybe, otherwise it's a pass.

Used to be half that or less, even with inflation the markup is crazy. Can still get the Red Team Warthog from TRU for 45, only three figs but also includes a second turret so you can swap between LAAG and Gauss. The Fleetcom 'hog for 15 more has non-canon Chief, Cortana and three literal-who Spartans. For a set to reach that price point in the past it had to have something like a Covie turret and a couple enemies, guess it's a Paramount+ tax.

Just checked, amazon canada doesn't have it at all; amazon burgerstan has the one you're referring to but that 36 is in USD, translates to about 50 CAD but then there's an additional 10 USD shipping charge bringing the total beyond the walmart price.

LEGO was reigning suprime but there were a bunch of the new Monster High two figure sets on clearance. Shelves were gutted and new shelving for books and DVDs was going into place - but the electronics area was gone.

I don't play attention to the girl mega but they probably had some on the shelves too. They still had their electronics area at the time but it's been some months, haven't felt like a return visit but I guess I'll try and find a way soon. Rarely buy Lego there cuz the Lego store is easier to get to and has the VIP points bonus and PaB wall which is the bulk of my already modest Lego buys; Mega and army men were the only things bringing me to TRU and both have been sorely wanting there of late.

Some of the WW2 sets they've done are from last year, namely the Porsche Tiger, Panzer 38t and a T-34 I think. Been a couple newer figure packs as well, hopefully there's new stuff in the pipeline.
