Also the farcically rare figures based on the doujin anime parody "Postmodernist Self-Loathing Induced Omnicide" (reportedly financed by Anno himself, who read the doujinshi comic it was based on and loved it enough to try and fund it. Sadly almost impossible to find online.)

I agree. The only thing i saw that AI did thats legit is pimp some pictures with erasing clouds. Or make nude fakes or some sort of face app filters. Most AI pictures are boring, incoherent stuff that is your typical generic slop.

If you were going to do all that you wouldn’t need the AI because you’d be capable of the actually difficult parts. But you’re never going to do that and generating AI slop images let’s you briefly trick yourself into thinking that this software is creative rather than a way for large corporations to procedurally generate the mediocre stuff they used to farm out to hacks
