The figure is ok, but not great. Tail is fully bendy, arms and legs have joints but you still can't do much with them. The head where you'd want the most movement is the most limited spot on the figure sadly. Head only looks up and down slightly. No rotation or tilting at all.

That's far more than a 'mod'. That's serious work to the figure. You'll have a hell of a time matching paint, dealing with paint rub, and damaging already painted parts of the figure. So many other parts of that figure are bad too so if you don't have it yet and are already hating the shoulders, skip the figure entirely. The tail sucks only moving side to side, elbows hardly have range, then the head+neck+torso joints hardly do anything either.

They're in order of release. So just about everything in both images has been released aside from the 2" figures from Rotom on, 3" from Weavile on, and 6" from Flygon on.
For the ball checklist, everything except Fidough, Poliwag with Lure ball, Jigglypuff with Moon ball, and the Paldea starters+Pichu with Poke balls has been released. But you can get all those figures aside from Fidough in other packs without the balls already.

That's part of the environment base wave 3 and it's only been released at Gamestop in the US so far. For whatever reason, the Murkrow set is not online but the others in that wave are. That one has to be bought in store it seems. Maybe another retailer will get that wave later but we don't know.

There's tones of different packs they make and how these are released. Singles, singles with display cases, with the poke ball, two packs, three packs, multi packs, enviroments, etc. They repack figures a ton though so Murkrow could very well show up in a two pack or multi pack within the next year too.

TRU Canada has the Garchomp Raikou wave on discount at $24.65 from their usual $32.99. Cheaper than the $27 at GS with Edge which they still haven't gotten the wave yet. TRU also had the 3 new environment sets with Murkrow slashed down to $20 from $26. It was my first time seeing them on shelves, never actually saw them at the $26.

About the battle figures, I think Goomy wave, Porygon, and gen 9 starter ones are relatively new at TRU. Raikou and Garchomp, and some new terrain sets too. So they've got some decent stuff. Would be great to get the ones you mentioned though.

Their single packs aren't bootlegs. It's those pokeball and old 2-packs that Ross also gets. I have the bootleg sobble that came with jiggly, which turned out to be better quality than the tomy because its pl;astic was harder

Anyone know if this Jakks Pikachu mold got bootlegged? I've had the one on the right for awhile and I'm sure it's legit, if roughed around the edges from his previous owner. But I got this one on the left yesterday and he's a bit weird (and also more roughed up). Plastic quality is about the same (albeit a slightly different shade of yellow in-hand). He's got noticeable grooves where his eye decals go and the paint apps all around are a bit different (stripes and cheek paint not completely filling in up to the grooves and his brown tail-spikes having slightly different designs). Plus I can pop his head off while I can't do that with my other one. Did production quality on these guys just dip down the line, or do you think he might be a bootleg? I'd be inclined to think he was a fake if not for the plastic quality being the same and the paint matching in color (but differing in application). I don't really know...

Hurt your fingers? Just curious when's the last time you built something from Mega? Old Mega definitely fell apart in the Dragons era, but it's been a long time since builds weren't strong now. And I've never heard of hurting your fingers.

One thing to look for is the seams from the original figure usually soften or disappear when they get bootlegged. The paint being a bit sloppy on the cheeks and stripes seems a bit off but idk can't say for sure.

Pokemon Center never goes on sale. On Canada Day and Boxing Day I think it was we get free shipping up here (otherwise it's $10 flat), so idk why the US even gets since they already get free shipping. Sales once in a while would be great, especially for items that have been on there for years.

Yep, Lucario and Greninja are probably the worst selects they've made. Scale was an issue for both those (yeah yeah even tho they use the cop out of it being a non scaled line) more than most, and they can't seem to figure out how to do simple articulation lol

That design aspect is an issue too, but articulation def was also. Especially with Lucario who they didn't give pivot ankles to like the SHF and VAH figures have. You just have to give the figures with those kinds of legs those pivot ankles

nta but Lucario wasn't that great regardless. The head and ab crunch didn't articulate that well and it leaves him looking stiff for such an agile Pokemon. They also didn't articulate those black things on his head which would've been nice for some flare when posing.

well is the best they could achieve at this fair price point. I still like their Charizard better than the SHF, and the Birds turned out great too. But this is the kind of line that would benefit from ball joints better. Then I remember Dragapult and Typhlosion with their sculpt issues, but again, they're $20 each

They made Absol, Sableye, Mawile, Banette, Lucario, Charizard, Blaziken (though this one was pretty awful), with plans to make Swampert, Blastoise, Latios, Rayquaza, and maybe others I don't recall. That's not how figures are made at all and especially not how any of these pokemon selects are made. You just don't understand it. But there have been many people who have disassembled parts of figures to show how stupidly most of these joints are designed with things that intentionally inhibit movement, or joints just being designed weird from the start

The piano theme, use of a Garchomp, feels like a real character and she has appeared in multiple main games. The last part is pretty big as you have very few characters that show up more than once in recent generations. Looker who was a reoccuring character has gone mia completely.

The Figma basically ran into the same problem as Yugioh, they were doing fine with Yugi, Kaiba, DMG then they did Playmaker (a new char) and now its dead. I'm sure Red did fine but that string of Galar stuff probably underperformed. When you're simply trying to make money you always bet on the old proven stuff for better or for worse. People were talking about Cynthia earlier, she probably would've outsold all 3 of the Galar trainers together.

The character choices for Figmas was likely decided by TPCI. Obviously more classic and fan requested characters like Red, Ethan, Oak, Cynthia, etc would have sold better than these modern Galar trainers, but I bet TPCI insisted those be made instead. Maybe that's why there was a weird change with those Figmas where TPCI was in charge of selling or returns instead of the usual GSC being in charge of that stuff?

That's usually what happens. Often its also a case of "new thing" or no thing. The new thing not being made doesn't necessarily mean an old thing would've been made in its place, the new thing was being made for promotion. You need a line like dragon ball where people really show up to support to go really deep with characters. Even there when there's new media like a movie they instantly take highest priority and do the new stuff.

Plastic quality and quality of the joints are usually unrelated. The joints on many of the 6" Jazwares figures are not made well from a design perspective. The plastic quality is just fine. But most the joints don't give much movement and are hindered in many cases. That's most people's complaints with the 6" Jaz line.

All figures from any company will be hollow if they've got huge parts because that's just how figures are made. Large sections are hollow and made from thin halves of harder plastic secured together. Massive parts of figures are rarely solid pvc plastic.

I was just a 6 pack. Cleffa and the two Kanto fossils are the only really 'newer' things in it but that's better than having to buy multiple 3packs and a Valentines pack to get those.

One European site says it's scheduled to come out in May or June so it may show up online somewhere in the US by then. Some of these 6 packs get wide releases through Target and some end up more expensive Amazon exclusives :(

I'd love to have a little army of Clefairy's but to do so I either have to buy sets en masse (and be left with a ton of extra 'mons), or wait to see if she gets a singular Five Below release or Evolution set whenever they get around to doing Clefable. The Pikachu is so cute with a cute pose and expression, and with the tails being separate pieces, you'd think they could just swap them out. Scyther&Scizor was a shared Target and Best Buy exclusive. Probably becauseTarget refused to carry as much stock as they used to. Most stores are still filled with the Decidueye and Toxtricity Evolution packs from last spring! Making these Evo packs pearly paint was just so dumb. Thanks! I'll be sure to keep the info in mind this time. The only 'mon I have in that pack is Pikachu and the rest are highly valuable to me personally. So this pack's a jackpot for me, even at just 6 figures. Here I could get a lot without having to spend more on packs with Pokemon I already have or don't care about. Hope the US gets reasonable access to this when the time comes.

I disagree. I think they're all super spotty with bad QC equally. I've seen just as many of these case figs with paint errors as I've seen battle pack wave figs with errors

I think pretty much all Jazwares figures are the same quality.

In the US sometimes little independent mom& pop or comic shops carry this 2" case line, but that means they're simply importing them I think.

Well since they have to be imported now, any shops that carry them charge even crazier prices. But back around 2019 when Gamestop actually carried them they were still outrageous and like $10-11 for the one figure when the battle two packs were still $7 at that time.

I've never seen bad paint on these things or any other flaw other then eventual discoloration and wear. What you see is what you get, and I only get them because a better toy doesnt exist

I don't think any seller will take it out of its packaging upon request. Once the packaging is opened, it cannot be closed as before (i.e. sealed), even if it is opened properly.

In general, it can sometimes happen that there are slight defects in the paint or plastic. However it is quite rare, you should not worry about it.

thanks anons. I'm probably just being too autistic over this since I've seen a lot of photos of the new umbreon figure on jp twitter and mercari. the yellow rings aren't always clean and I don't want to spend $30-40 on a 200 yen rubber finger puppet if it isn't perfect. I'll buy other stuff to make the shipping fee worthwhile but still.

Never spend $30-40 on a finger puppet. What makes this product line interesting is:

-Its low price.

-The majority of the bestiary has been transformed into figures (more than 850 species are represented out of the 1025, not including alternative forms, making it the largest collection of Pokemon figures)
.
-They take up little space (a cardboard box is enough to store hundreds of them).

-They are difficult to break (you really have to cut them with scissors or abuse them quite violently).

This is not a product that focuses on large toys, nor on high-quality aesthetics. That said, it's still pretty decent.

Oh nice. Come to think of it you could technically fit a whole evo line in one of these if they have Metapod as a 2". Usually someone in an evo line is a 4.5" making it not possible.

Well embrace it because thy repack so many older figs in with everything that you're simply forced to but multiple figs to get the only one you need like every single time.

These last few waves of 3 packs have been especially bad with mostly older figs tho. It seems like there's now only 1-2 new figures across each entire wave of 3 packs. Only Joltik and Caterpie are new in that pictured wave. If the text is true, then only Flapple and Litleo are new in that wave
