Guys I think soon I will upload a compilation of unreleased, prototype and beta designs of Mega sets from previous years. Just in the final stretch I want to ask for anybody that believes he can contribute with any image of any theme of the said topic to help out sharing old prototype images too so the list can be bigger. Nta but they did release the BTR, significantly altered from that design. Don't have it myself but I got the Chinese KO, highly recommend.

I only have some box artwork. I thought Mega took pics with 3d models, or even with the figures, but it turns out packaging design is actually drawn, and then they take the pics. (1/2)

Turns out I also have this screenshot of the unreleased german tank.

The story on this one is that it was a Toys R Us exclusive, but when it went down it was offered to other retailers and nobody wanted it, so it was cancelled.

This is the one that bummed me out most when it didn't get released. Still suspect there was more going on behind the scenes - all the sets with Germans are missing from the official Mega CoD pages like they never existed and when I asked about it I got a generic non-response. It's easy enough to find comparable tanks and Mega's Sherman wasn't great but I had high hopes for the Panzer. RIP

Checked. Still remember when they announced the Firebase but ultimately scrapped it, though they released the individual components and reused/modified some parts for the eventual, smaller Firebase set years later.

Better pic of the set. The Vampire would be released versus the ODST Hawk and later the lights & sounds Hornet; the transport 'Hog got a troop pack set; the Cyclops would be released in several flavors as individual units. The promised minifigs of Forge and Red Team would have to wait til after the changeover to the new style, coming out here and there in sets and the Heroes line and most recently all three Red Team Spartans together with the flame 'Hog.

I remember salivating over this one and being more than a little disappointed to hear it was canceled. Benefit of hindsight though, wow, do I not regret it being broken up and sold piecemeal like it was. Mega back then never really hit home runs with architecture, but this thing borders on non-euclidean, doesn't appear to accommodate much interplay for sets that are not warthogs, and considering how poor the stack up value and general qc was for their pieces at the time, I'll easily bet this would have been a Christmas letdown. >>10908313 was disappointing for being sort of barebones once built, but at least it wasn't a $200 brick.

more like a full playset that's also a vehicle. not sure if it needed to fold out on both sides, but i guess it lets you get in to take interior shots.

In the same boat, with the intent of making a casual skirmish wargame to run with some friends. I had no idea just how many sets and editions of this stuff they put out. Been scooping up everything I can locally on facebook and got a few bulk figures from ebay on the way. Currently on the fence about splurging on a phantom and exploring the cheapest way to get some hunters.

Yeah I'm trying to avoid any banished stuff, don't really care much for the "post-bungie" timeline. I can get them for 25 bucks from china but I have cons coming up and I want to be able to look for stuff there so I'll probably hold off on getting too much more until then (except the pelican I'm picking up tomorrow)
