>>10934730Scott has expressly stated that he hates the AvP movies, and even just the creature itself for the most part, and he only considers Alien, Prometheus, and Covenant as the canon (though, I forget his stance on Aliens, but I know for sure he considers everything from Alien3 onward to not exist.)
And yeah, the ship on LV-426 being old and mysterious is a fantastic part of the lore, and really adds a lot of creepy mystique to the universe. I can even buy that the "Xenos" from David are just offshoots, or experimental, but still, having the Engineer's weird canisters of the black goo kind of just do whatever the situation calls for is just "eh."
Plus again, the whole storyline of having the Engineers having created humans, and created the Xenos, and then David just kills a bunch of them, just to dick around with the goo a bit more just seems convoluted, and just sets in stone a bunch of stuff that was better off vague.
I'm interested in whatever they're going to do with Romulus, though.
