Preserving faux-leather goods on figures

I got the 1000-toys dante and while mine is in good condition so far, I know it'll inevitably start flaking like most fake leather fabrics tend to do.

Has anyone here ever tried using some leather conditioner spray or something to preserve it?

Wear gloves when you handle it so your skin oils don't degrade it. That plus constant use seems to be the main killer for this stuff.

leather conditioner will not do anything to help fake leathers.
keep it away from oils, large variances in temperatures and direct UV exposure.
the more you handle it, the more the plastic will want to peel away from the fabric it is adhered to.

thing about pleather is some of it can actually last a long time, some of it goes to shit in the span of just a year or two, there's really no way to know what you've got but you should assume all the kind on toys is the most cheap trash that won't last

the face sucks, the torso is made of rubber, the knees are a fucking joke. the jacket is 3 sizes too large, it disintegrates, they cucked us out of accessories. worst dante design.
