Dollar store quality is what all domestics have been for years. No shading, avoiding paint apps as much as possible, tampo instead of hand painting, all kinds of qc issues, no style, incorrect looks and anatomy. The works. Even some imports fall into these now.

I'm okay with a handful of Super Powers, the price point is reasonable for what it is and there's little call for even an idiot like McFarlane to raise the prices to say $12.99 for what it is. He's even taken to discounting SOME of these on his own store, so even his accounting department must have explained to him that you can't mark those up from the price point they are already.

As for LOSH, yeah, it would make a good addition. I don't have some of the females, so triplicate girl, dream girl, some of those would be nice, but also a wave of the Legion of Substitute Heroes would be a nice niche wave to do.

Stone Boy, Night Girl, Polar Boy, Chlorophyll Kid and maybe Rainbow Girl.

Red hood and grim knight happened because of this guns along with flashpoint Batman but they were all available in stores with no trouble for a long time. Azbat was more scarce but I managed to get him off Amazon for $35. Shit degraded to complete insanity after that flash.

They are close with the earth 2 Superman just need new lower legs and upper torso. I hope we get a Batman on it. Mcfarlane should just make a smaller version of that and use it instead of the beetle buck.

I wouldn't buy the beetle buck even without the boot. I haven't with the boot either. The thing looks ugly due to all the breaks in the sculpt. McFarlane's basic articulation style is just ugly, too many cuts due to 6 cuts for the sculpted wrists on each arm, 4 more for false butterflies and 6 more cuts for the sculpted ankles. It works on extremely complex designs because the design hides the cuts. But on a blank body it stands out like a turd on a white floor.

I assume it’s an easy repaint of a sculpt
The weird part is the gimmick relies on “here’s another version of a character you like”
Todd has said he won’t reprint a figure, though he’ll do a repaint in a Player 2 skin like red Azrael, so it’s odd he does stuff like vampire and jokerized versions of figures people are paying like $80 for
Look at all the Nightwings McFarlane has made, it’s the same with his Supermans where people are paying almost $100 for the first prints that had unique sculpts and decent metallic paint apps
Then when he goes to make Knightfall Nightwing instead of doing a sculpted pattern like every Spider-Man figure ever he cheaps out and just prints the costume pattern over a smooth sculpt
The decline of this line has been so sad, so many missed opportunities

This. I gave up around New52 when things became unrecognizable and offensively repulsive. My Superman doesn't have a bunch of faggot kids and didn't spend a year in hiding because DC is trying to prop up new shit because the characters are going public domain in a decade.
I'm happy with the books and movies I have where he's a reporter with a crush on the girl at work and he goes into a supply closet to change into Superman. Everything I've heard about what's happening in modern books sounds like retarded bullshit.
My Adventures With Superman is sick as hell though.

I was just going to do a large keaton sized cape and maybe if i was happy enough with how it turns out make a second one with sticks on the edges of the cape so he can do the bat pose thing.

I just grabbed a bunch of color matched cloths of varrying thickesses and was gonna just go through them all until i figured out which one drapes the best. I wish i knew what the new superpowers capes were made of cause even at such a small scale they do flow nicely (given their size) and light doesnt bleed through them at all. id def use something like that if i could find it

your thinking the first wave which uses a completely dif material and also suck ass. The newer ones use fabric and dont have holes from crumby packaging.
These new ones actually fix an issue with the og line with the light not bleeding through (check out my toybiz keaton cape and how you can see right through it) the only downside to them is they arent as big as the old ones but its not by much
i think this this material would look even batter at a larger scale
