My kid loves Godzilla so I want to get her some Godzilla toys for the bathtub. No fucking idea what's safe for bathtub use. A lot of the toys I grew up on and used in the tub got gross and shit and apparently some materials are like toxic in water? Fuck if I know.

Godzilla and stuff like it toys safe for baths basically. Any ideas?

I'd assume that the Bandai "Movie Monster Series" figures should work. They are soft plastic, like a soft rubber. I don't think water will hurt the toys or the toys + water will be toxic for your kids. Just make sure you buy the legit ones and not some cheap, knock-off (that will probably be toxic).

Do you also want godzilla toy suggestions in general or just ones that would be okay for baths? Also what godzilla movies has your daughter seen? They have a bunch of the old ones on max so maybe she can watch those on their.

Your typical vinyl doll (e.g. Movie Monster Series) is kind of intended to be an inexpensive, basic toy to get knocked around by rough play from a kid. You'll probably be fine with some of those and it won't break your bank if you know what you're doing.

You need to think about character selection. At least 1 hero (Godzilla), 1 villain and 1 supporting monster. Surely you know a favorite movie or 2 of hers.

Also a tub = water scene. Surely there are some cool options to recreate.

For the love of God(zilla) don't listen to any of these yahoos.
Yes, the vinyl itself will be fine, but if there are any parts that are glued on they will fall right off. I'm not sure if the hot water dissolves the glue, but it will definitely soften the plastic and make it really easy to break the figure in a way that's difficult to repair.
Why not just get her some of the new GodzillaXKong toys that are literally everywhere? As long as they don't have any electronics I would think they'd be fine?

most vinyls can easily be disassembled. my son trekked his godzilla through numerous baseball fields, muddy puddles, and general backyarding. i would avoid knock offs at all costs, not only will they break easier, i would imagine the chemicals in the paint could be harmful long term.

There are hardly any parts that are glued on the vinyls. I had vinyls in my bathtub as a kid. Worse case the water made it squeak and slippery but eventually the water evaporated. Relax pal.

Which movie monster series figures are glued on?
Even if there was glue and it did come off, you can always reglue it back together. You can heat up most soft vinyls to take them apart. That is how people remove the plastic tags- heat up the area and pull the tag out. The plastic will reform back to shape when cooled. And plus, if your bathtub is hot enough to remove glue then you should probably not get into it.
