Why do so many companies do this? If it's a partscount issue I'd actually rather have the range on the elbows, given that full elbow range is important for expressiveness, whilst at least with limited knee range, if the figure doesn't have a stand it'll be limited as to the poses it can assume anyway as it needs to stand up.
