A mouse can be a toy if you invest in an elaborate tube/cage set up.
When I was a kid we’d use humane mouse traps and keep the mice for months or years at a time in those things.

Go to Home Depot or something and invest in some glue traps, then get one of these clicker repellants. They make a click every few seconds to scare it away, and isnt anymore annoying as the clock in your room

Put a snap trap down in a dark corner somewhere. Use peanut butter as the bait and put the pressure pad facing the wall since they like running along it. Wear gloves through the whole process so you don't get your scent on it. It should be dead soon unless you're dealing with a high IQ Mickey.

I have one of those in the basement. Annoying as fuck if you have sharp hearing, but it does keep them out.

They do not work. Even used speakers 1000x bigger to make the a range of rat "scaring" noises to make a rat leave my garage with the volume loud enough to hear it at human hearing levels and still did nothing.

You know what does work? hotdog/banana/peanutbutter/cheeto/dorito/anythingsmelly and a 50¢ wooden spring trap.
