I will say Moose Toys made waaaaaay too many SKUs with no cosmetic differences (why wasn't the goo colored differently like the labels?) save for minor tweaks on the figures. It also didn't help that most of the figures looked bad, with garish color schemes, and their drab sameness didn't inspire anyone to collect them.
Also, making a $70 blind box defies any and all logic, especially when half of that price goes to the "box" which almost no one wants more than one of.
In summary: great toy, bad product.
