Looking for cool Starship toys for my warriors.
Order this badass gundam carrier. Could someone tell me what the small domes are on the side?

The ship in particular is called a Rewloola. The 12 domes on the side (6 on top and 6 on the bottom) are external fuel tanks.

A lot of ship designs in gundam (maybe with the exception of the Salamis Cruiser and Magellan Battleship) make no sense practically. It's all cool factor. Take a look at the Musai cruiser for example (my favorite one despite its flaws.)

It only has three upper particle cannons and two torpedo launchers for weapons. Its rear and underside are totally undefended and its engines are at the end of thinly armored stalks.

Same shit with their mechas too.
Human shaped robots that are 50 feet tall are impractical and stupid

But Gundam aren't cool. Only Zeons mechs are.

the color and the turrets layout reminds me of the mogami class.uc gundam seems to take alot of inspo from the pacific war.

It depends entirely on the writer, transformers are mystical magic metal men, mostly. Mecha are machines of material mostly made to mobilize matter destroying machinery.

Normally I don't say whoever has the flashier animation wins. But Gundam universe mechs are so brutal that with the exception of maybe Megatron and a few others, they would slaughter transformers.

Trouble is if they go with bullshit alien metals that would deflect or be able to withstand Gundam tech or if they try to make them be as durable as cars would be.

If the latter, Gundam will tear through even their titans.

Transformers are big fish in a VERY small pond.
Most other Universes they would get slaughtered.
However, this thread has shown while Gundam and other mechs are powerful clearly their starships suck.
