I keep hearing in the toy industry that toys are dying and so are you companies strictly because youth don’t want to play with toys anymore and would rather play mobile games or any other game. Which is why everyone’s pivoting to other areas like regular merchandise (ie towels) or movies.

As /toy/ aficionados, is this true? Is this why all these companies are failing and floundering? Any insight is appreciated.
