>>11023436Can you not access the interiors now? Did you furnish it, but the build enclosed everything in? That's a bummer if you can't get in. Either way, I'd love to see more up close photos of your Castle MOCs there. Your tree house is absolutely gorgeous. Can that one open up at all?
I always try and leave either an open back like classic playsets, or just have large archways and such for getting in. I prefer sets that hinge open in half like Forestmen Hideout or walls that swings open like Wolfpack Tower. Helps for easy access inside and small spaces.
When I got the Eldorado Fortress remake I fell in love, I always wanted the original as a kid. But I had issues with it. I don't care for the clips and prefer a hinge for opening, but my beef was how the cannon was on the platform for the Governor's office. Yes you want to play in the area and yes your hands need to get in there, but it has to look good too. So I just made a REALLY big window to look out of that you can reach into and put another floor above.
Maybe make a few big windows? Or a wall or two that can swing open to reach inside?
When I get more and different parts, I would like to change how my Eldorado Fortress back looks. I just don't t have the pieces to do what I want abd am very limited. I want some 1x1 bricks but have hardly any. All I have is a bunch of 1x2 masonry bricks. But you can see here how I closed the back off and added a ladder to get upstairs. Swing the ladder down and you can access inside with your hand even when set is closed. I will spruce this up a lot more when I get more white bricks
>>11023442Yeah that is an official set. There's like way too many Lego threads going right now. I don't remember where, but someone asked about progress on that build. I learned cool techniques I plan to use in the future with my MOCs from helping build it. it had a few bits too complicated for my boyfriend. That set is definitely made for more experienced builders, even being a playset
