Favorite toy reviewer? For me it's Bamidele Shangobunmi, currently JANGBRICKs, formerly of UltimateRC.com.

Wish he still did RC car stuff and MEGA Constructs reviews, but he's done quite a few Gundam reviews recently which is cool.

I like D Amazing because he collects a lot of different lines, so you get scale comparisons between lines. He also one of the few reviewers who can make dynamic poses.

Far too many reviewers clearly are unwilling to be negative about figures when they are receiving the comps from the stores. Since a fair number of them are making income from their videos and/or reselling the figures (and thus incurring no real or genuine losses, save for their time), I find this annoying.

I do like the videos that show stop action scenes, simply because it's extra content. I do like any reviewer who is honest, even if it's nominal. I like reviewers that do things like head swaps and really put the figures through poses, not just in surface fashion, but really in ways where you can actually fear - with some lines - that stuff will break with the amount of movement the reviewer forced the toy through.

I do miss the people that used to do the lengthy and extensive (with photographs) on-line blog reviews. Since I like to collect older DC Direct and DC Universe figures, I often find that I can only check out those kinds of reviews before I decide to buy from some secondary market seller. Sadly, those kinds of reviews probably aren't worth the time since they won't generate the income to someone doing all that work.

It annoys me that so many reviews now are essentially tik toks since idiots have decided that is the thing to do.

Yeah.
I hate it when a review is just 15 minutes of just listing the toy's many negative qualities, although still not being too harsh, and then at the very end proceeds to say "overall I think it's an awesome product and if you like then go out and buy it". If a reviewer isn't willing to go on hour long rants and completely shit on a toy telling you directly not to buy it then they're a shit reviewer.

Same, he does good posing and the size comparisons are super helpful.

I also like anthonyscustoms. While I disagree with him a lot, he's the only reviewer to show the figure clearly and in detail.

TF fag here, but I like That Toy Guy. I’m in his age demographic, and I like how he reviews older TF’s. Older TF reviews are horrible to get through due to video resolution, or lack of detail in the review. Don’t watch reviews for ML or SWBS anymore at all. When I did I mostly watched Shartimus (i know, cancer).
But yeah, just watch That Toy Guy nowadays.

I miss those. I remember about 10-14 years ago there were a handful of Japanese collectors who did really thorough reviews using 20 or 30 pictures per review. Every possible angle, every accessory, tons of comparison/scale shots. You couldn't understand what they were saying, but having so many pictures you got an idea of how the figure looked.

I wouldn't say favourite but the ones I usually watch are Shartimus and that Anthony dude. Shartimus is annoying, yet he addresses most topics I want to know about and brings the level of enthusiasm most reviewers lack. However, I also check out other reviewers whenever I feel like it so I'm not stuck with one specific reviewer. Any reviewer who showcases the sculpts and articulation in detail is good in my opinion

Totally. Again, since some of the stuff I buy ends up being second hand and might be expensive, and it's not like I can go to a store and check out it out, it's good to have that kind of information.

For a 2023 Marvel Legend that I missed out on because it was a WalMart exclusive and there are no retail stores near me and I didn't know about it beforehand to pre-order, all I had to decide on were videos, because anything else just regurgitated promo shots from Hasbro.
