Dry spell for chinese legos it seems. Built the new Quan Guan Panzer IV and it looks pretty good, think it's better than their first take but I'll have to do some side by sides. Waiting on the hatch piece for the Tiger, slowly getting through the last sets from the Kazi line I've been collecting. Oh yeah also received a large minifig order yesterday, mostly Star Wars - two different versions of Republic Commando's Delta Squad among other things. Between work and my other interests I've been distracted from getting pics done for all these and more, maybe I'll shift gears a bit on the weekend to catch up.

Pic is the original Quan Guan Panzer IV in grey alongside a Cobi Panzer IV; can see the wide treads GQ was using rather indiscriminately with its tanks at the time. The new one has smaller, more appropriate treads which is already a massive improvement.

The listing indicates "custom figure - 100% compatible with lego" in the description which translates to "included minifigs are knockoffs" so yeah everything in pic should be included. There would have to be a disclaimer otherwise. Never used that particular site myself though so hopefully someone who has can weigh in.

I wish someone bought Cobi 1:12 Willys Jeep or any other of their 1:12 cars and tried to fit figma or SHF there, I think it could work. May require some modding for more leg space though.

This one has functional steering and nice engine builds that would have to be torn out completely and rebuilt for structural stability. It also makes the opening engine covers pointless. They seem to scale well enough as is, but to get a figure to fit will require removing some of the features and functions of the original.

Cobi is often worth the price, better quality and more interesting build style than lego would use in my opinion, not to mention real printed bricks / no stickers.

Some odd facts about Neko busou that relate to plastic building block compatibility. They started off as an April fools day joke on the bandi forums that got so much interests that bandi said fuck it, let's make them for real. That didn't happen often. What are they and what made them that popular? They are gachapon toys and 2 things made them popular; first the cats were going to be sculpted by the #1 in the world best 1/12 scale gatcha cat sculptor, folded 1000 times in traditional ancient Japanese fashion or something (they are very nice) AND #2... each cat had a weird combat vehicle build that would combined as a set into a super vehicle. Kind of a 1/12 cat power rangers meets mad max junk yard mecha vibe. Japan is odd and wonderful at times. The big draw was the attachment points were compatible with bandi and other model kit makers & toys. There were some cool cat mech & vehicle custom builds shown here and on the other chans back then.

I have one of their tanks. The clutch is actually tighter then LEGO. Also the building experience is IMO inferior - lots of plates in places where it looks like bricks would suffice. But the end result holds together nicely.

There are total of 10 set

2 of which our secret I got the flower fairies set.

At the moment the face printing to be decent but it got dirty around the cheek. I able to wipe the dirt off.

I don't know, so I do recommend you wash brick, Lego too, before you actually play with the thing

The blocks are your usual Chinese stuff
they seem to have gotten better than before
they did use a softer material for the skirt though. there's a hole on the skirt which is for other version which has a rabbit accessory.

Thanks, was eyeing one of the ww2 tanks. I was mostly worried about the clutch power or deformed bricks. Lego really dropped the ball here with their dumb stance on not ever creating any (historical) war themed sets and Brickmania are ripoffs.

As for the set itself

The print and the brick are fine but the as I mentioned before the skirt is made of soft plastic almost like rubber.

the problem is the paint don't stick too well on that soft material.
The white paint is literally coming off with just heavy handling with my fingers.
You can see the image what I am talking about.

The white uses to be much "fuller" than this.
I guess they think because the minifig got a forward and backward joint for the hip so a softer skirt would make the range of the movement better, but they really should have gone with the harder stuff.

Thanks to the anon here that posted pics and first told me about LeyileBrick here.

Their shipping rates are DISGUSTING but caved. Needed some nice printed arms, legs, frilly dress and beach bods for the waifu.

Their all-sided print job is pretty good and the custom dress feels solid with nice frill molding.
