I always loved how you can detatch the tail from crocodile boat and it becomes a flying vehicle.
Chima had lots ideas like that.

I still think chima is the most fun theme because for example Ninjago these days is more about "physical play" (you move around mechs or vehicles) while Chima had unique mechanisms transformations and cool gimmicks

i'm a huge fan of Chima and there is like 9000 topics i want to discuss (for example like this: >>11058491 ) and find other fans. I always felt like it deserved to be separated.
I can go on and on about Chima forever in this thread and dont bother people in lego general from now on

Wolfstruck. So much fun to part the vehicles.
Favourite tribe = Crows tribe.
I like how they designed the sets to have tribe signatures and the gimmicks.
I dislike the Speedorz. Too gimmicky and too expensive.

Yeah , I remember watching it just because I wanted to know what all that stuff was about. And prepared for some utter cringe.

But I ended up liking it. I like that most of the villains of early seasons were the reason for misunderstanding. And the first season villain became Laval's best friend.

And the way they teased Sir Fangar at the end of "scorpion" season was fucking awesome.

If I WERE to get a set, it would probably be this phoenix set. I know it doesn't have many gimmicks, but I just love phoenixes, and this one looks cool.

-Never looked into it enough to get a favorite tribe, but I guess the crocodiles and ice people seemed cool.

-I thought the vehicles taking on attributes of the animals the tribe was based on forced the creators to think outside the box a lot. That being said, some of the sets DID seem kinda flimsy. But again, never had any, so can't speak from experience.

Because in my fanfiction would be that they add a Dragon tribe that have an insect army and airships. The Dragon tribe tries to conquer the floating isles.
Maybe they encounter a Dinosaur tribe that is enslaved by the Dragons.
