>>11096289Everything else about Dial of Destiny was extremely boring. I only remember the opening scene because they nuked the fridge multiple times and it was also really dark so that we couldn't see how bad the CG looked, and I remember the final act because it made me want to leave the theater. The only parts in the middle that I really remember are Antonio Benderas who they wasted, and the part where the bad guys murder all of Indy's coworkers at the community college because that felt so tasteless and out of character for the series.
I rewatched Crystal Skull afterwards and it's actually a lot better than Dial of Destiny. Still not a good movie but that's how low Dial of Destiny sets the bar. Harrison Ford was still spry enough that they could do a lot of stunts on real sets even though there were a lot of bad CG shots scattered throughout the movie. In Dial of Destiny basically the whole thing is smeared over with this gross CG veneer that makes the whole thing feel very ugly and fake, and they tried to hide it by making the whole movie look brown and sickly.
