I wonder if 1000toys is operational again. If they're able to reissue their various figures that'd at least bring them some outcome/products. Must be a small run with how expensive these are though. Them and TEST are really pushing the limits on prices, unless they just both use some expensive ass factory or something.

The whole soft plastic over armature design that they use for these things probably costs more to produce than a normal import figure, but yeah these prices are really pushing it. When you account for inflation though even the original release would have cost about $140 in today's dollars.

Opinions on 3A Popbot figures? I'm tempted to get one even if the prices are absurd. But how is the quality of these figures?

Unfortunately you're spot on. I *loved* 3a stuff but much of it doesn't hold up well to time. Certain style figures have ankle joints break almost universally (ie any of their 1/12 action portable stuff, which, for me, was my favorite stuff of theirs). I still have some of my 1/6 stuff and its held up okay, though I hardly ever pose them out of fear of breakage at this point, and anything with faux leather has gotten absolutely fucked. A pop bot might do okay all things considered since most of the joints are better than average and there's no fake leather, but I still wouldn't get it expecting a sturdy play thing

There's been a lot of Chinese vendors for like a decade selling them on eBay, so... maybe?

Also, all of mine have held up well. I only had a problem with a larger figure's rocket launcher and the fins are fragile as fuck.

I still haven't taken the Popbot out of the box but damn, the figure looks hollow and fragile, also his guns seem to have some cracks. Perhaps the box was a bit crushed.
Then again, I bought it for a bit more than 20 bucks so I can't exactly complain, given that this stuff costs far more iirc.

Them being hollow isn't the problem.
The other guy said he had a problem with the ankles and they're solid plastic. Same with my rocket's fins.
The pegs are actually pretty thick, bigger than most toylines, thanks to their weird designs.

They're made of hard plastic, so they don't have much give, which is why my launcher's fins broke. If they were made of a rubbery plastic, it wouldn't have been an issue.

I have a glow in the dark 3A figure and it's actually made or a rubbery plastic, so i imagine it will hold up better than my other normal ones. Is yours glow in the dark?

Yup, since the other anon mentioned something about leather products, I'll also say that his little bag is not made of that either.
If the plastic is not solid then it's quite reassuring. It doesn't help there's barely any info of these particular robot designs such as reviews.

Yeah, i really wouldn't worry much, since it doesn't even have much paint either. Just be careful when testing the joints.

Most of the problem that people used to have is the fact that World War Robots were SLATHERED in paint. That paint goes into the joints, so it naturally gets stuck, and what do people like doing? FORCE a stuck joint.
Since 3a used hard plastics, the joints can snap easier than if they were a rubbery-er kind.

Even 20 years later, that paint can cause problems, even if you previously had fixed the stuck joint, because the paint they used isn't that traditional kind that "bakes on"
The thing I'd be most worried about are the finger joints, since they 're really thin.

Don't own any yet, but from the looks of it their Roboforce are decent and their Biker Mice are good. Sectaurs are vintage toy styled, so they're also solid for what they are. If those old plans come to fruition Power Lords will be modernized with new takes on the characters. Seems to be like the quality is improving as time goes on.

As usual with NECA Products, they end up dirt cheap on clearance so you buy them on impulse but when you actually play with them you realize it's trash with awful paint jobs and articulation and they end up in a closet collecting dust somewhere. Ill probably pawn em off at the next swap meet I go to. I'm honestly shocked they didn't disintegrate when I took em out of the box like most NECA figures.

I have 2 of the 3 Biker Mice and they're ok. I got them on Ali for the same price as Marvel Legends or Gi Joe, and for that price they're good with all the accesorios. The articulation is good, no qc issues on mine and the overall plastic quality is good. They're nothing special, but they're not bad at all.

I checked some comments and, depending on the item bought, the shipping could be around 20 bucks which isn't that bad of a deal, provided it's actually that price or less, given that this Synthetic Human is not that expensive, at least compared to statues or other figures which surpass the hundred.

nta but I have had the male and female synthetic humans for a few years by now. They're sturdy imo, nice and hard plastic, not rubbery, joints feel durable, able to stand on their own without support. I regularly pose them and travel with them because I use them as art reference when I'm offline. So far nothing has broken or started to look grimy or worn.

Myth Cloth EX or Revival are the best. Otherwise check the release dates. Since the non EX are kinda old and mediocre. EX is pretty good 95% of the time and revival is for the anniversary.
