So the news from the manufacturer was that they forgot to add metrobomb and the plate thingies when the first pellet shipped out.

So I ask my seller about metrobomb so I wouldn't miss it and she add it in for additional $5.

You can see she opened the box and put it there...

And it turned out the seller doesn't really know(?) what she is selling.

The box already has a metrobomb pack added in. I think the seller called the manufacturer directly for the supply- the missing metrobomb was later packed with the rest in stock metrotitan they have on hand and this has to be one of those later batch

So now I got 2 metrobomb

The manufacturer on Baidu said they got the original mold and worked from there. Their business is mostly in the cheap non transformers transforming toys- but you clearly can tell they have a passion for the original G1 show and toys, hence the leap with G1 metroplex and the now titan. They also working on sporponok now

It is good for what it is. Having their metroplex already the stickers are good for what they needed to do.

As for the figure itself- it is very waxy but the plastic is decent. You need to do some disassembly if you want to remove all the visible sprue marks- they are bad, like really bad. They probably bet on that kid won't care and the collectors would fix them up themselves hence didn't spend the man hours on the sprue marks.

For this one, the joints are a bit stronger than metroplex but they are smoother too. They also rounded the left arm joint so when you turn it it doesn't sound like death.

Metrobomb's front section doesn't have ran so it does curve up. Though I think that is mostly has to do with the extra plastic neat the connecting spot.

I will if I got the time to pull out the knife fix up the sprue and put the sticker on them

Big fan of all these releases.
Don't see any issues with Animated Bee, have some minor gripes with OP.

I go to Target to shop for Transformers in person. Fuck Walmart, they've had legacy skids and Arcee on pegs at full price still. Target at least gets new stock in. I got Snarl and Tarn from my local target since I didn't preorder them. Picked up Gears the other day there too. I played it safe with Swoop and got it off amazon preorders.

First of all his hips were ragdoll level loose out of the box. Had to open his pelvis and fix them. I got him early so I had to figure it out on my own but it was very basic.
There is something off about him in robot mode. He looks awkward in most poses and is very hard to stand. An anon above mentioned Snarl’s proportions but Sludge is the one who is actually fucked up somehow. Is his head in the wrong place (too far forward) or something? Hes wonky in a way I havent put my finger on yet. Also he desperately needs heel spurs but only his toes move lol. Astrotrain’s platform shoes help him a lot and they live on him now

So which one is the winner /tfg/? I think I'm leaning towards SS86 because the transformation and colors are a lot better but Netflix has the better alt mode.

I hope they make them both (and GodFire Convoy later) available through that made-to-order system they're testing out, just phase out Haslabs in general in favor of that. I have Deathsaurus and preordered GodFire Convoy, but missed out on Victory Saber and there's no way I'm paying more than $200 for him.

Ended up getting AoE Armor Knight Prime and Movie The Best Nemesis recently. Caliber Prime/MB Nemesis is definitely the definite version of the mold, but I think both are nice in their own ways that I can't really say I enjoy one more than the other.

Only niggle is that one of his thighs is a bit loose and can splay in some poses, but I'm sure that's fixable; I have polyurethane, and the hips seem to be on screws too, so should be relatively easier than it was fixing my Tarn's loose joints, lol.

Paint will transfer over to rubbery plastics after a few years, yes.
It's ok to store the effects alone together.
They leak plasticizer so you shouldn't seal them, put them in some kind of container with holes

And considering how this set seems to have sold more poorly than the other SDCC exclusives this year, I dunno if Hasbro would be eager to do a follow-up. (Sure, the blame is most likely on the billionth use of the Siege/Earthrise Megatron mold, but who knows if Hasbro takes the correct lesson from their failures.)

Don't get me wrong, I like Clench, so I'd be up for a new toy of him, but I'm not sure how likely that is to happen anytime soon. So for now, I'm just glad I have my old Botcon 2010 Clench figure, which still looks great on the shelf, in my opinion.

The original was designed to be bulky and exaggerated because that was the GAMER aesthetic of the time and it was the first TF IP in a game to be a fully original universe; it looked good for representing what it was, you just don't like what it was - there's a difference, bug off.
The actual problem stems from trying to make [that] mold wear the skin of an Optimus with extremely traditional proportions, as well as a totally different transformation, requiring this figure to use faux parts for no reason. Would've made more sense to retool the core Armada Optimus for Coptimus, with that transformation, honestly.

I just got Cannonball, and am shocked with how much remolding he got. Fun fact, core Hot Rod's 5mm port for his spoiler is the exact proper height for pulling Legacy Motormaster's trailer. You could easily pull another Blackjack and just color Hot Rod black to fill that spot.

Alright I need some advice, I bought an SS86 Bumblebee from Target.com, who is prefectly fine in all regards, except his arm pops off the mushroom peg extremely easily just by turning at the shoulder.
I tried heating it with a hairdryer and pressing it more together to maybe grip better, but no dice.
I still have the box, will they accept a return/exchange if the item is faulty but opened like this? I mean I cant put him back inside and hold there since, yknow, it was plastic ties I had to cut.

Not GPS, this breakage happens to the repaints that don't use metallic plastic too. It's bad engineering with these thin front panels holding the entire weight of the arms and whatever torque you apply on it.

Went toy hunting this morning and had pretty good luck.
Target had all their TF One stuff out, except the deluxes, which sucks. But, they did randomly have Thundercracker and Nemesis, who I never saw on the shelves before.

He's Transformers sized. In his last appearance he get knocked into a time portal where Doctor Who (the seventh one, specifically) shrinks hm down to human size and kicks him into the Marvel multiverse.

The polish tricks dont fucking work. 9 times out of 10 it makes a giant mess and even when you do it correctly, playing with the joint just causes all that polish to chew up and come out of the joint as white material. I am very good at tinkering with my figures and everything is easily fixable except loose pin joints. If the joint is pinned you are fucked unless you want to pop the pin. Popping pins is a whole different ballgame. 1 of 10 times the pin comes out effortlessly and the other 9 times out of 10 youre gonna fuck the figure up getting it out

Funny the new Takara one actually sold me on this. As bad as the lion face is, I cannot deal w the ultra corny cartoon face. Hell, I think the new Takara Legacy’s face looks better than the MP even but I just cant. Besides the regular version is way more cohesive with the rest of the collection. I like the real world animal interpretation they went with. It does make me think though, Im very surprised they never did any more toon accurate beast mode retools that look like the MP aesthetic. Missed opportunity for Takara

Get Budgeon with Ruckus, from the pic:

Lio convoy is the best option, even with the goofy cat head and missing paint on his abs.

Metalhawk altmode isn't great, hes too damn big for the character and still has cyclonus shoulders so not accurate either.

Jhiaxus is alright, but the gun on his neck and ankle wings are a floppy mess, also his panties will get yellow in a month or less.

Metalhawk and especially Jhiaxus are peak (mine hasn't yellow'd/green'd btw), love mine. Armada Starscream is mediocre and very disappointing, and is cursed by bad QC in the joints and pegs, but some Armada fans are abused enough that they'll take it anyway. Leo Prime is a great action figure with an ugly lion head, but the Takara retool is fixing all my grievances and seems perfect for me.

I think so. The addition of the bug legs helps elevate the set above Shrapnel/Bombshell and the way they did Barrage's chest is interesting, if flawed. Of the 6 Legacy Insecticons we have so far, Chop Shop is my favourite.

This figure is monkey paw. He should have been jammed into leader class and executed properly like rotb primal. This figure was far too ambitious for whatever team was tasked with painting and assembling it. This is the #1 sloppiest paint job of any legacy figure I have and a casestudy for the need for more part’s separation. He is also a valid case study on screws > pins. All his joints are pins and guess what straight out of the box hes one play session from being a floppy mess. I see some real true love in this figure’s design that got stamped out by bean counters and a lazy factory

The sloppy paint is really just the head. Looks like the headsculpt was covered in dust when it got painted. Also his lion head is scratched up out of the box.
By no means a terrible figure just soooo much room for improvement. Kinda makes me miss my PE Lionidas, if it wasnt a QC nightmare

Beast Wars isn't on anymore and a lot of what made Inferno cool was his character in the show. To most people he's another in a line of literal whos that you've got no attachment to and doesn't fit the aesthetics of your G1 collection. Not that he stuck around long in my area.

it's hard to just pretend I didn't obsess over that show and look at it as an outsider, but.. really? there's nothing else to make him cool? He's got a crazy head shape with a hinged jaw. he turns into an ANT. ants are cool. Sadly, he turns into a shitty, shitty ant. but the robot mode is still pretty cool, albeit inferior chestwise and with pretty dumb looking tail flaps vs the original.

In at least some of them, they are fucking haploid. Basically walking sperm. Not much else to em.
but there's at least one where the males have a job too, I fucking forget. I used to know everything about bugs but there's just... OODLES of species. Way too many, but they're little so they don't take up too much space. If there were that many cows, we'd be ass-deep in 'em.
