And if they are real stupid about the design, the metal will grind the coating and itself down over time.
Then if it breaks you can't pin and repair it like you do with plastic joints.
Furthermore this is add-on armor, have they tested the extra heft on the core body's joints? It's unlikely when they manufactured it years ago and didn't have a Leo prototype to test.
Overall you need a lot of experience with diecast to pull off metal joints but the problem here is
