Sorry I fell asleep I was drunk as fuck lol
>>11116463Here's the thing, there's a contract limit, once the limit's over there's not a goddamn thing you can do, and here's the thing most toy companies will go for the cheaper option not the safest regarding their designs, molds, etc.
For example with NECA Turtles we got a 5-month contract to produce 20k units, and the factory itself (maybe different in other factories) grants you 5k extra units if a certain quantity of produced figures get damaged in the process (guess what, most of them don't get damaged and if there's a damaged product, it doesn't matter, those 5k figures are essentially the first bootleg run, but I what happens if the company declines that 5k units offer? you replicate the molds and copy the files.
in PAKs and NECAs most of the first run bootlegs are unfinished original figures, NECA ultimate Kratos for example, the entire first run that was more than 5k units sold as bootlegs were original figures, the only detail were the metal fists that both sides were left or right, can't remember, PAK 2b too, the first run was all original 2b's without the final coat of paint
>>11116553Almost something like this but not continuous production, and yeah 8 of 10 NECA KO's are the original figs, some unfinished, others inferior products, the actual NECA KOs are some of the worst shit because they're produced once the factory stopped caring about them and sold the files/let an inferior factory replicate the already used molds with an even worse plastic and paint
