Well, the first wave is finally coming out. Any other anons been patiently waiting for these? They look awesome as hell, but they’ve just been putting up preorders after preorders. Now we finally have some figures in hand and we can see what they’ll actually look like. And they look DAMN AWESOME. Reallt excited to get them into my own grubby hands and play around with them. Any other anons excited?

I only have the Maestro Union collab werewolf dude on order, and he isn't coming til the end of the year. I only got it because I've been happy with most of Maestro Union's stuff so far. I haven't jumped on anything else yet, but I'm going to watch the reviews because there are a few interesting figs like Dr Calligari.
For a line called Monster Force, it needs more monsters other than vampires and zombies. I know, it's easy to turn mold for human soldiers into zombies and that's why they went for that, but I hope they go crazy and do cool shit like wendigo, Mothman, and other cryptids.

They're pretty shit when you consider what the original price was around $35-50. They eventually discounted them to like $10 and it still took them years to clear the warehouses. That shit company is done.

The only one I have on pre-order is the Punisher Frankenstein's Monster dude. I think he's cool enough on his own to just fit into the collection without any support figures and I'm just a sucker for a good Thompson.

Though after watching the review, I really wanna grab a team of the red guys and one of the black troopers to lead em. I kinda hate that the "heavy gunner" is such a different color then the rest, as he don't really fit with a squad of the red and black dudes.

Eh, they're not terrible, but I agree they certainly weren't worth the original asking price. At least not the standard ninja anyway. The Deluxe Samurai were certainly a good value, and being able to grab them on a discount was an outright steal.

The AI guys weren't the best toys in the world, but I am disappointed it didn't grow as a line. Hopefully their Ninja Scroll stuff is better, but after seeing some of the renders I doubt they'll be all that improved.

The vast majority of my preorders are this line, there are a few "gotta gets" and alot of "looks cool" so ive been really hopeful for how these first figures end up. I honestly just wont know until i get a few in hand, but the idea is so neat i just have to give it a chance.

I'm almost 100% sure that I am personally responsible for forcing them to resculpt the guns on 2 of the figures after replying to their product announcement tweet. Whoever they commissioned the sculpts from ripped the original designs directly off of the Arc Pistol, Radium Carbine, and Arc Rifle wielded by Skitarii in 40k. Whoever approved them before the initial product images surely didn't know, and I don't know if anyone else noticed. They never replied, but in later released product images they were redesigned to be similarly inspired, but not directly ripped off.

I don't know, maybe a tiny bit? Only because I'd like one of the radium rifles to use with the joytoy skitarii, but I doubt they'd scale well or match artstyle, and I could always just 3d print one if I wanted it that badly. I don't really care if they infringe on some other company's IP, who gives a shit, I just wanted to know if I was the only one who had noticed and figured there wasn't going to be much chatter about it anywhere else.

I guess it also felt weird that someone had so blatantly passed off someone else's work as their own when given the opportunity to model a toy line. Lots of people would love that kind of opportunity, and this guy couldn't even bother to come up with a couple sci-fi guns? Lazy ass fuck. Look, even the redesigned ones they changed it to are lazy, they just flipped the power cell and the barrel.

Two thing that may need to be mandatory if you're making an action figure that uses guns primarily: butterfly joints that actually work, and either ball jointed or vertical hinged wrists. Probably wouldn't hurt to have ball joints at the top and bottom of the neck as well.
