Found and bought a second hand "Rodeo Farm" Fisher Price Husky Helper set today

Anybody else kind of in love with the simplicity of the older Fisher Price sets? Always found them kind of appealing, particularly the Adventure People series

My mom is OBSESSED with old 70s to 80s fisherprice sets with the very simple little figures.
They were really fun to play with, well made and sturdy and look fun.

Later stuff was never as good imo.

I really enjoy the adventure people astronauts. They really capture that 2001 kubrick sci-fi aesthetic but in a very tight toyetic style.

Everything from Adventure People was an awesome toy. And they were goddamn indestructible! The plastic was strong and thick and just flexible enough to not snap accidentally. The parachute was real fabric. They were a toyline that deserves a comeback, if they could keep that kind of quality.

There's still some Fisher Price stuff that looks sturdy and "well made" for mass-produced, low effort Chinese factory/slave labor work.

I picked this up at a Macy's TRU on sale, and folks (adults) always pick him up and play with him for a minute (the "speech" aspects) and it's a good conversation piece at party's/dinners, etc.

I was surprised at exactly how sturdy and decently made it felt for under $10, new.
