>>11155968They actually aren't quite at the same price point. Regular McFarlanes are 22.99, Xizor is 24.99. True that Xizor looks better in the promo shot but that's a promo vs a randomly selected in store unit with QC issues. The closer to 1:1 would be the promo of Xizor vs the promo of Shining Knight -- or -- a random in store Xizor vs random in store Shining Knight.
Unfortunately McFarlane hasn't released any promos yet of Shining Knight because they're ridiculous with this platinum garbage and want people to find them as a "surprise" or something. And Xizor isn't in stores yet.
The Shining Knight also likely has higher piece count due to higher POA.
I've also gotten a Hasbro figure with a slightly misplaced eye recently, so they are not above such a defect even in modern day, but it isn't as extreme as that McFarlane example which is basically a ruined figure while you have to look close to notice the Hasbro issue.
I will say the Shining Knight is an overall uglier and gaudier figure though but a lot of that comes down to the character design. The McFarlane probably has a higher volume of paint but that also was forced by the design.
I'd guess the Xizor will turn out to be an overall more polished by the numbers figure in general, while the Shining Knight will be "wild" and rough with some advantages for niche groups of people.
