Wooden toys are also great. My nephew loves the set we got him like pic related that has wooden knives and fruit that velcros two halves together and teaches them how to cut things in a safe manner. There's all kinds of things like that and you can find them easily and cheap at places like TJ Maxx. There's like ice cream cone sets or other imaginative roleplay things.
