All the YGO figures are finally going to be coming out in the next few months. Flame Wingman and Neos in October, then Junk Warrior in Jan, followed probably by DM in Jan or Feb. We should probably see Utopia and maybe Yugi's monster from Revoltech, which, if they opt for DM too now I kind of hope it's the card art version (both companies could always make more versions). Or maybe they'll try for DMG. If there's any protag who could get more monsters it's probably Yugi's. And for Monsterarts I'd like to see Exodia get done.
We'll also probably see Obelisk or Slifer from Figure-Rise Amplified soon.

And where the heck is Snail Shell's IP Masquerena.

That's all just stuff that's been or are still up for preorder. Revoltech Neos and Junk Warrior (they also have Number 39 Utopia, Yusei, Yuma, Yugi, and Zane (forgot his Japanese name) coming). SHMA Flame Wingman and now Dark Magician. FRSA Winged Dragon of Ra with Slifer and Obelisk teased via silhouette. Snail ShellxAmiami has had IP Masquerena on display at quite a few shows.

Other upcoming items are the recently solicited Moderoid Accesscode Talker, and the as of yet solicited Plamax Divine Arsenal Zeus. Kaiyodo is doing a non-articulated Cyber Dragon. I may be forgetting some things.

It's understandable, given they're all technically monsters, but I do wish SHF was involved so they could do DM, DMG, whatever other 'human' monster, then we could (also) get more monstrous monsters in the main SHMA line. Either way, as long as it continues I'm glad to see it. I don't want to pick just OG monsters because I'd like many of them, but I'd love to see Summoned Skull and Exodia get made.

If it turns out that Kaiyodo doesn't make Dark Magician as Yugi's partner monster then they're definitely in cahoots. Even more so if Bandai makes Stardust Dragon for Yusei's true ace (sorry Junk Warrior, you're still cool).

You know, something was throwing me off so I went and looked at various card art and anime shots of DM, and his is very rarely showing through his armor like that. Hopefully he has an alternate hair piece where it's just his hair cut off at the base of the armor/helmet.

Also just realized that we're going to get a 'dark magic attack' for him. Looking forward to seeing how that looks.

I love minifigures. YGO, Digimon, Pokemon, Kinnikuman, I really miss the days of affordable multipacks of high quality figures. The YGO ones (like the Digimon ones around the same time) took a pretty big dip in quality from the original assortments of both, but I guess that's due to rising costs even back then. If it was possible to bring these back at affordable prices, they'd be lots of fun to collect.

I really like they made Polymerization as a figure. That was cool when Mattel made Magic/Trap cards as figures too.
Emodinent of Apophis, Solemn Judgement, Change of Heart, and Swords of Revealing Light would be neat figurines.
They should also make Maxx C, Ash Blossom, and other random meta cards as figures too.

Zeus has been in development limbo in what feels like forever. But Accesscode felt the same way, and it's finally been solicited, so it should be soon.

About what you're saying, I get where you're coming from, but realistically that doesn't make all that much sense. Which card not featured in the anime has such wide appeal and popularity that it'd be able to sell as a full price figure (definitely possible as a small candy toy figurine or something). IP Masquerena from Snail Shell seems to be the only thing at this time, and who knows, maybe others like her like SP Little Knight, or some others featured in the 25th animation, but one thing at a time, and IP still hasn't been solicited.

Look, you and I would be happy about that, but there's a reason why all these companies are making these monsters. The lines are all continuing, and if not for these anime monsters it'd have probably ended already. Some of those card only monsters are being made into statues, so go support those if you want to show them that the audience exists.

There's no guarantee it'll also be Dark Magician, though it makes a ton of sense (most of these monsters are the 2500atk ace monsters so far), but so far the two seem to be working nearly in unison, with complementing products. We'll just have to wait and see once the announcement shows up.

Revo can do something to go with Yugi but it doesn't necessarily have to be DM. Could do DMG or Buster Blader and either one could work and also pair well with the shma DM.

Is there somewhere you are finding this news at though? I don't know any reliable news sites (besides reddit, which I don't like using, only use it because its the only place I know of). Even then, they rarely talk about merchandise or anything from JP there.
For example, I didn't know they were making an Ass Blassum & No Joy statue till someone just posted about it on there. I kind of want this. I wish I knew what was coming out.

Not really, no. There is the yugiohnews IG page that's usually pretty good, though they somehow missed the SHMA DM, which is odd. Maybe they just prefer the statues, since they posted all of those. Otherwise the action figure things are posted on here, and I think there are other YGO news sites, but I don't look at those too often.

Well it was nice knowing you, hopefully Zane can carry the line and prevent Yuma from killing it. I sincerely hope they do some more DM and GX characters like Marik or Chazz before they irreparably kill the line with something retarded like the Arc V guy

There's a visible hinge on there, and sufficient amount of space that it could probably lift a fair few degrees up. You're probably not going to get 90° straight up, but should be able to get around 45°, which should be mostly sufficient for DM.

Would love Summoned Skull. One I've been thinking about since the start of the line (when I kind of assumed human-styled monsters would be off limits, for a bit at least) was also Gaia the Dragon Champion. It would lack his horse, but there would be a Gaia figure and a Curse of Dragon figure, and they could of course be put together. Would probably be pushing mid-high ten k yen, but I think it'd be a cool set. Gaia is never without a mount as far as I'm aware though.

Exodia is a no brainer at some point. Black Luster Soldier. Wouldn't be too surprised by Stardust Dragon.

Tbf this is Dark Magician, a figure that hasn't gotten an articulated figure in this look from a modern toy company ever. I don't think he can be compared with Flame Wingman, for example. Even Red-Eyes sold out pretty quickly.

With Revoltech making Zane, Kaiba seems inevitable. The question then becomes what monster do they make to pair with him? If they make DM for Yugi then maybe we're in for another small Blue Eyes, but if not the options perhaps open up a bit. Lord of D? Kaiser Sea Horse? Vorse Raider?

And Judai isn't kind of shit, he's absolutely shit. Look at reviews of it and see how badly it moves. Or just look at it and remember that it's over 10k yen. Looks like a $20 dollar you might find at Walmart, and even then it'd be a bad value, but at least it has price as its excuse.

That mid-ab articulation should function more or less the same. I guess it was needed to account for the way the legs were done. I think that looking at the articulation setup that he should be able to pull of some good stuff, especially in conjunction with the promo pics. One thing I'm a bit worried about is actually the neck and head.

I'm so curious about her price, about both versions. I bothered to buy the Meowmine card so I must as well get the DLX ver either way. Would have been nice if the alt art wasn't already the following release, but I'm still excited to get her. Super interested to hear about what's next for the line (and I'm even happier that we finally get confirmation that this is indeed an actual line).

I also get why she doesn't, but I kind of lament her lack of the detailed hairstyle that Snail Shell usually does.

I'd probably not do that... If it's under 10k I'll be impressed. With the v2 and the bike, I'd have to think that will definitely exceed that. I guess something to consider too is that there may be added costs due to licensing, but at the same time they're teaming up with Amiami on these releases, so maybe it won't be that bad.

I would guess this is a double ball peg. In the image it looks like the head and the 'cap' part are one piece there, but they're two. The promo images doesn't show much in the way of range, but I'd have to think it'll be pretty decent.

Nice, he's looking pretty good. The seams being so visible is a bit unfortunate, but that's alright. The details don't have much depth unfortunately, but a wash should still give it plenty of extra detailing if someone opts for that. Slifer up next, then hopefully we continue to get more after that.

There are some monsters I can’t even imagine being able to make in 3D, let alone as a model kit. Black Luster Soldier and Obelisk are the biggest examples of this, they did a great job. I’m not jealous of the people that had to design either, they looked like a nightmare to engineer.

Interesting though, but why would you feel this way? BLS is basically just a knight, Obelisk is just a big muscular guy with wings. The latter has had a number of statues too, so it just doesn't feel like there's anything too unusual in trying to realize them in 3d.

The amplified line is probably the biggest monkey paw of my life. So many characters I want from both Yu-Gi-Oh and Digimon but I fucking hate the edgey redesigns. I really wish they'd do vanilla versions of these characters.

I keep all my import boxes too. I do so just in the case where I possibly sell them so it's a more complete package. You can always cut the tape on both ends and fold the box a bit more.

Good little collection of the classic. I don't have anything except the newer stuff (do have some random older non-import figures, well that an the Vulcanlog DM), but luckily I don't care too much for duelists, more into the monsters. Giving it some thought I think it’s because of how I envisioned both cards in my head ever since I was a kid. I never really gave either designs a detailed look until you both brought up how fundamentally simple their designs are. Exodia is another design like that for me.
