>>11177610In the mid to late nineties, yeah, Mcfarlane was better than Japanese toys. You could get some nice model kits, figurines, or statues, but their action figure quality was pretty low standard unless it was a robo/mecha or an expensive 1/6 doll like Medicom.
I feel like McFarlane helped push the expectations of quality in the toy industry even on an international level, because late 90s and early 2000s is when we started getting stuff like Kaiyodo's Fist of the North Stat figures (who eventually made the Trigun figures) and Max Factory's Guyver figures.
