Cheesy as the muscular 90's POTF figures may seem now, it was meant to show how they were pushing boundaries of what 3 3/4ths sculpts could look like and trends of the era. The PM toys pushed what tech could be sold at the price point.
There's something really generic and careless about these figures. I get that prices are rising, but there's a very tangible lack of care in the sculpt, and the way they're ok letting a slimer be released with no paint apps at all.
